Dumb Antecdote #1:
"The Dress Shop Story" Well, it was around home-coming week, and all my gal-friends were nagging, "Get a dress, get a dress! Bla bla bla bla..." I decided, FINE. I'll LOOK for a dress.. So, I'm at the dress shop looking for a dress, lookin' at the dresses...And the lady behind the counter walks up to me and asks, "Can I help you, sir?" Now, about myself. I've been mistaken for a boy since I was just a fetus, no joke! I'm used to it by now. This time, though, I decided to have some fun. "No, ma'am, I'm just lookin'," I reply. "We don't sell men's clothes here," "Well that's fine, I'm lookin' fer a dress!" "...Beg pardon??" "What? Just because I'm a boy, I can't look for a dress?" I cry, "Just for ONE DANCe, I'd like to show who I am on the inside. The side no one can see at first glance! It's discrimination like this that makes me cry myself to sleep at night! I thought in this day and age, a boy could have no trouble buying a dress!" And I go on and on and force myself to cry...EVERYONE IS STARING AT ME. Finally, one lady says, "Oh, let him try something on, I think it's sweet!" ...As I'm trying something on (I do look like a boy in a dress... redface ), I hear someone on the phone or whispering, "Yeah, there's a drag queen here. I don't know, 14? I don't know, he's WEIRD!" ...And so I left. Ze End

That sux, although it is funny you continued the joke 4laugh Do you have short hair or something, and that's why you get mistaken?
I have shortish hair, but generally people think I'm a girl, which I am, cause even when I just wear jeans and a t-shirt, I apparently look "feminine".

Yes. But not like regular 'short'. I mean 'Extremly short to the point where it's almost a buzz cut'. It's grown a little. Now I can spike it whee
I'm always mistaken for a boy. Just today I was called 'bro'. Whatever *shrugs* Not like I'm intrested in men anyways. mrgreen

Yeah, it's obvious. (People even mistake my avatar for a boy...) My 7th grade TEACHERS even knew before I did XD That's how obvious it is

I at first did think your avi was a boy, but then I noticed "hey that "guy" has a chest"
That must be weird, having people "know"
I'm bi, and people have only figured out from just looking at me twice. In both cases the person guessing was GLBT themselves as well. Of course I don't look very boyish, or at all like the "stereotypical lesbian".

I severly fall under the "stereotypical lesbian" category.
Actually, there's three stereotypes:
1. Girls Gone Wild Lesbians: Ok, these chicks are probably not even real lesbians. They're just in it to look hot. ((They don't have to be on Girls Gone Wild, they're just the chicks that guys want to make out with other chicks)) 2. Goth/Punk/Emo Lesbians: The lesbians/bisexuals who are obviously Goth/Punk/Emo. (I have some friends in this category) 3. "Mannish" Lesbian: A classic stereotype. You know, short hair, glasses (sometimes) muscular, plaid/leather jacket, big, "Men are Scum!".
Sadly, I sorta fall under Mannish. A lot.

Sadly, I sorta fall under Mannish. A lot. Let see. I'm bi, but I'm not really any of the above. My ex was of the Girls Gone Wild type and I didn't find out till too late sad I do have buddy holly style glasses, but I'm not muscular, and I dress pretty feminatly, and my hair is only mid-short. Also, I don't think all men are scum, just the ones who objectify women. There are a lot of the Goth/Punk/Emo bi types at my school, but none of those are me since clearly not any of the above. I must just be too weird for catagories. rolleyes

Oh, I loved what you said when she was surprised that you were looking for a dress! I get mistaken for a boy a lot too, and it's happened so many times that I just go along with it sometimes. I've even been mistaken for a gay guy before, I don't know how, but I have.

We aren't saying that. Just that the "stereotypical" lesbian thinks men=scum.
