Kyoko couldn't stop from worrying. Even though she was going to one of the places where she felt most comfortable, with her troublemaking Scent and father in tow, she couldn't help but worry. Hopefully Kyuubi was there. But how would he react, and what would happen. And then her cycle of thoughts from the doctor's office started up again. She was knocked from her thoughts when Gekkou tapped her on the shoulder. She blinked and gave him a noise of confusion. Her father just smiled.
"The Kitsune's Den, that's where we're going right?" Kyoko nodded a bit numbly. "We just passed it." She squeaked, ignoring Anbu's snickers, and turned around fully.
"W-well then! Back we go!" She led the way into the establishment, helping Anbu a moment when its ball got stuck in the door for a moment. "I told you to leave it home."
"No way! Not after the mall!" Kyoko sighed and rolled her eyes. She smiled at her father.
"This is the Kitsune's Den! My friend Nyoko runs it." Gekkou looked around, looking calmer than earlier.
"It's a nice place. So...we'll find him here?" Kyoko chuckled nervously.
"I hope. And if we do...please don't do anything rash 'Tou-chan." Gekkou whistled innocently.
"Me? Do anything rash? Your distrust wounds me, daughter!" Anbu went to make a beeline for the nearest person other than Gekkou and Kyoko, only to be stopped by his guardian.
"Nu-uh. You stay with me, you little trickster."

Nyoko's nose alerted her the instant Kyoko walked in, and the Kitsune grinned and went to greet her. But then, another scent wafted into her sensitive nose... It was a scent she'd only picked up a handful of times, and combined with Kyoko's scent... The Kitsune woman groaned, and stalked behind the counter. Another worker took over for Kyuubi, and she dragged the man out and aside from prying ears.
"You had sex with her!?" Nyoko hissed, her eyes narrowing and tails bristling.
"What makes you say that!?" Kyuubi retorted, growling and flexing his claws at his friend menacingly.
"Don't tell me you don't know what that scent is! You better handle this well, or you'll have to look for a new job and a new wallet to mooch from!" Nyoko growled, before stalking back over to the counter. She pointed at the door, which Kyuubi looked to in confusion.
The Kitsune-man then grinned and waved at Kyoko, completely oblivious as to what was going on.

Kyoko grinned and waved back at Kyuubi, her worries disappearing for a small bit. But as soon as she made her way over to him, they started to come back. If it weren't for her father and Anbu at her back, she might have bolted...That, and the fact Kyoko felt Kyuubi had a right to know. After all, that's why she chose to come here straight from the doctor's office. Gekkou put a hand on her shoulder.
"You introduce us, and then I'll take Anbu over to another table or something. As you as you lend me that fan." Kyoko giggled and pulled the large white object from it's loop on her belt, handing it to her father.
"There ya go. Warning, use it too often and it won't be effective for a few days." Gekkou nodded and Anbu just gave the two of them a withering glare.
"I'm still here, you know." Kyoko rolled her eyes. Why did she agree to take it in again? Oh yeah...to keep it out of trouble.

"Kyoko, who're these guys?" Kyuubi asked lightly, grinning and pulling the lean girl into his arms and giving her a chaste kiss. The kid was strange looking, and he had a heavy scent about him that Kyuubi couldn't quite place. It was something exotic, he wasn't quite sure what to call it though. But after a long moment he shook his head, clearing his thoughts.
"Hey, is something going on? Nyoko just threatened to fire me if I didn't 'handle this well.' And she mentioned something about your scent too," Kyuubi said, shifting awkwardly and curiously sniffing at Kyoko's neck. She smelled the same to him, granted there was some undertone to her scent that made Kyuubi want to do rather... Inappropriate things to her.....

Kyoko smiled, pointing to each of her family in turn.
"This is my father, Gekkou, and that...that would be Anbu. We aren't quite sure what gender it is."
"And I'm not going to tell you outright. It's quite fun watching people fret over it!" Kyoko sighed and shook her head.
"Before you-know-who showed up and spooked me, Anbu was the one causing all the trouble at the Masquerade." The Scent 'puffed' up a bit, looking quite full of itself.
"It was my best performance so far." Gekkou groaned.
"Let's go, kiddo. Nice meeting you Kyuubi." With that, Gekkou proceeded to be led off to a table by Anbu, despite his tries to lead the child rather than the other way around.
Kyoko blinked when Kyuubi mentioned her scent. Ah! She probably would smell different...maybe that's why the neighbor's dogs were being nicer...She smiled nervously.
"Actually...Uhm..." Dammit, Kyoko! You can ramble just fine, so you can get this out! She took a deep breath, and whispered it. "I'm pregnant. We just got word from the doctor a couple hours ago..."

It took a long time for the words to register in Kyuubi's brain. He stared blankly, gaping at Kyoko and completely at a loss for words. He tried to speak, decided otherwise and closed his mouth for a moment... Then opened his mouth to try again...
"Puh... Puh..... Pregnant?" Kyuubi squeaked, before leaning against a wall. Now that he'd registered it, he could only think of one thing to say. "********... I don't know what to say... I'm so sorry, Kyoko. I never meant to... Can I have a minute to think?"
Well, all things considered, Kyuubi was taking the news rather well. He hadn't.....
A loud 'THUD' was heard.
Nyoko looked over to where Kyuubi and Kyoko were standing, and upon seeing Kyuubi on his back on the floor, she sighed and rolled her eyes. Honestly, he'd fainted? The Kitsune woman sighed and walked over to (rather bodily) drag her employee to a nearby table.
"Sorry about this mess, Kyoko. And good luck."

Kyoko followed Nyoko, now more worried over him than what she was going to do.
"N-no...it's okay. Is he gonna be okay?" The girl's dark amber eyes were a bit wider than normal, looking a bit like a curious child's. "And..thanks. I'm definitely gonna need a lot of luck." A tugging on her green plaid pants signified Anbu was at her side again.
"Hey...how come he did the same thing that girl did?" Kyoko groaned.
"Anbu...it's called fainting. And the child you scared the bejeesus out of was a BOY for the umpteenth time."
"Looked like a girl." Kyoko just sighed and looked back to Nyoko.
"I think I'll definitely have enough practice in patience by the time the baby is born." Anbu scowled. That was definitely not a compliment directed at it.

"Don't worry. If you need any help, feel free to ask," Nyoko said, smiling and giving Kyoko's arm a reassuring squeeze. "I'll be here for you. And I'm sure once this idiot gets over the shock, he'll be here for you too."
With that said, Nyoko went back to her work, leaving Kyuubi with Kyoko and her family.
And after a long moment, the Kitsune groaned, put a hand to his head, and sat up slowly.
"Man, I can't even remember the last time I fainted..."

Kyoko gave Nyoko a soft 'thanks' as the kitsune walked off. She looked back to Kyuubi, smiling in relief when he woke up.
"At least you woke up afterwards!" She quickly grabbed Anbu's hand before the Scent managed to poke him in the side. "What have I told you about doing that, Anbu." Anbu shrugged.
"Not to. But people's reactions are fun." Gekkou, finally trotting up to the table looking very frustrated, glared at the child.
"Not when one hits their head on the table." Kyoko winced and shook her head.
"'Tou-chan..." She turned to Kyuubi as Gekkou and Anbu got into a glaring match. "Sorry 'bout them. And...sorry about springing the news on you like that..."

"No, no it's okay. I'm just... Wow," Kyuubi murmured, shaking his head in an attempt to clear his thoughts. "We've got a lot to talk about... And planning to do. Geeze, I never thought this could happen..."
And then, Kyuubi grinned. His eyes glittered and he looked happy, deliriously happy even.
"I'm gonna be a dad!"

Kyoko felt muscles relax that she hadn't even remembered tensing. He was okay with it, and that gave her an immense amount of relief. She hugged him, grinning just as broadly as him.
"It's happening, Kyuubi." Gekkou and Anbu looked over. Gekkou was obviously relieved to hear that his daughter had the support of the baby's father. Kyuubi seemed like a nice guy. Anbu, for its part just smiled.
"As I said...New Playmate!" Kyoko and Gekkou couldn't help but laugh at the Scent's thinking. It was kind of refreshing to know the little bugger wasn't ALWAYS scheming.
Kyoko blinked.
"Wait...whose last name will the baby have?"

"Yours. I don't really have a surname," Kyuubi said, laughing nervously and pulling Kyoko into his arms. "It comes with being born a Kitsune. Generally, we're born into clans if anything. So I'm just... Kyuubi no Youko."
The Kitsune grinned, his eyes sparkling as he glanced over to Gekkou and Anbu. His... Family? He supposed he'd have to get used to this. It'd take time, but he didn't mind...

"Mmkay." She looked over to her father, laughter in her eyes. "So 'Tou-chan...Can I keep 'im?" Gekkou chuckled and reached over to ruffle his daughter's green hair.
"I think I should be giving him permission to keep you, oh puppy-like one." Anbu blinked.
"Uhh...What's a puppy?" That just made Kyoko burst into a giggle-fit and Gekkou stared at it strangely.
"Kyoko...you have left out a very important piece of its education. It has no knowledge of all things cute in life."
