Ohkay, this sounds like a WAY weird question, BUT...
say you make your own fiction. a very nice fiction. and then you go "well, it'd never happen, but what if say, Keith and Setsuna got together? (LOL dont ask. Maddy knows what I mean)". well, you know it'd NEVER happen, so you go "hey! I'll just write a little story about it! and it'd have nothing to do with my origional story!" So you write a yaoi story and the question pops up...
Does that make what you just wrote Fanfiction for your fiction? huh?
Because calling it Fiction just doesnt seem right, because it's taking already created characters and writing a story pairing them, just like a fanfiction
While at the same time, it's not FANfiction because the origional creator wrote it...
so what do YOU think it is?
EDIT: It just occured to me that this is more than likely in the completely wrong section .__.; I hate it when I do that... if someone would be more than kind to move it where it may belong, that would be wonderful. thank you.

 i did that once. i consider it to be fanfiction of the original fandom because they aren't your characters. :]
and it's best to be on the safe side, y'know?
