Once upon a time, there lived a little princess.
Except, that wasn't what she was supposed to be...
But no-one knew that, except for her mother and father.
So the little princess lived in her high tower, and didn't know any better...

Gabriele was born, but she doesn't remember that. She doesn't remember much from when she was little, except for a few times when things were smashing against the walls, and people were screaming. She doesn't like those memories, though; they scare her and make her head hurt terribly, and Mama says that they're only a dream.
Mama is the one who takes care of her; Gabriele doesn't get to see anyone else. Sometimes she peeks out the window, and sometimes there are people there for her to watch, but she has to be careful-- Mama says that she musn't let anyone see her, but they don't look up anyway. Papa is always very busy, so Gabriele doesn't see him at all, and she doesn't really know if she remember him.
Mister Brown-Bear does, though. Papa's the one who gave him to Gabriele, so there's that, at least. Mister Brown-Bear is a little worn by now, and Gabriele has plenty of other, newer toys, but she never lets Mister Brown-Bear out of her sight, because he helps keep the nightmares and the headaches away. Usually, he's just Mister Bear.
Gabriele doesn't dislike her life at all, although sometimes she'd like to go outside. Mama tells her she's too delicate, though; that she has to stay inside for now, or else something bad might happen to her. Someday, Mama says, it might be all right for Gabriele to go outside... but Gabriele always thinks that Mama doesn't quite believe it.

[shikigami]  Name: Inari Sex: Male Class: Minor This little Shikigami spends most of his time wandering the Meifu, skirting clear of the more dangerous regions; while Gabriele was asleep one night, she wandered through the Dream Realm, which is where Inari found her. Gabriele named the little fox after a character from a book, and that bound the lesser spirit to the girl, who tags along at the girl's heels whenever she dreams of him. However, the girl only knows the shikigami as a dream.
