Viscoso left his and Krysta's teepee to go out for a walk in the meadow. When he had left it had been partly sunny, a nice day for a cool walk but now the clouds had started to roll in, blocking out the sun and making it more of a gloomy walk. He flicked his tail in annoyance and continued on his walk. There has to be a way to make this day better, but how?
Later, he found himself at the river and froze a few feet from it. He stood there, just starring at it, wondering if he had the guts to cross it. "I can do it...It's just water..Only water.."

Growing up was so difficult when your father was someone like Bliss.
It had taken the newly grown mare what seemed like hours to convince her Daddy that she WAS indeed, Vanilla Swirl. The same young filly that he had laid eyes on just the other day. He had demanded to know what she had done with his daughter and who she really was. Annoyed, the young girl finally just made up a lie. It was then that her Daddy looked into her eyes and noticed the bright purple. His favorite color. She was his daughter again.
Nilla insisted she leave, almost right after Bliss freaked out about the growing. He was old now, and hated the feeling. It wasn't fair, he said. The mare wanted out, she wanted to explore was given permission without any hesitation.
So, she left, laughing at Bliss's stupidity. The same laugh that almost mimicked him. It was surprising how close their voices were, considering Bliss had a fairly feminine voice himself.
Walking along the path, Vanilla Swirl didn't notice a large stallion on the other side of the river at first. She was much to preoccupied with learning how to walk so differently. Being so big and all...

Viscoso was also preoccupied with his little situation, that he didn't notice the mare on the other side until he saw her reflection in the water. He lifted his head and looked at her curiously. Something about her, something small, seemed strangely familiar but he couldn't quite put his hoof on it. Walking a short ways down the bank, he followed her a bit before speaking. "Hey there. You out for a stroll too?", he asked with a smile. As he walked, he was careful to stay a good distance away from the water so he didn't accidently slip.

Vanilla cocked her head up and stared at the stallion that had talked to her for a moment before laughing. He was so colorful! So bright and amazing looking! She had never seen anything like him before! And to think that her Mom was colorful, man...this guy took the cake. Easily.
"Sorry, I'm terribly sorry. I didn't mean to laugh at your coat color." She stated quickly, blushing. Darn it. Her first meeting as an adult and she had probably just ruined it by making fun of someone. Well, she was making fun, per se...
Quickly gathering herself back up, the small mare nodded. "Oh, yes I suppose. Just getting away from my Daddy. He's...uh...well..." Vanilla couldn't find the right word to use, so she stuttered. "Just a Dad, you know?"
Her purple eyes couldn't tell that he strayed from the water, and she herself actually liked it, so she stayed rather close.
"I'm Vanilla Swirl, by the way. Otherwise known as Nilla if you care to shorten it. Who are you?"

Viscoso laughed as well and shook his head a bit. "No worries. Most seem to react that way, more or less. I'm assuming it's because I'm so bright, hm?" He smiled at the mare. What was it about her that made her so familiar?
"Ah yes, well dads will be dads. It's kinda their job, don't ya think? If you don't mind me asking though. Who are your parents? Something about you seems too familiar and I don't know what it is. Oh and I'm Viscoso. It's a pleasure to meet you Vanilla. Your name fits you well."

Aha! He had given her a good excuse to laugh, which was definitely great...now she had no reason to blush! "Yes, you're very bright. But not in a bad way. I love the colors. My family has always been a fan of that kind of stuff, so I guess I took it too!"
Vanilla Swirl giggled, purple eyes darting up and down his mane. It was so long and pretty, so much different then both of her parents...who both took their looks rather seriously. He had the look of a wise man, indeed. And then her eyes darted up to his horn. What was THAT?
"Yes, I suppose." The mare laughed again, and gave him a quizzicle look. "My parents? Bliss and Milkshake are their names. Is it my eyes? I have my Daddy's eyes. Viscoso? Oh, well it's a pleasure to meet you too, sir! And thank you! My Mom named me...I don't think my Daddy has the brain to think of that name!"

"Yeah I always got a lot of comments about my coat, even as a colt. But being colorful isn't necesarily the best thing, plain and natural colors are just as good too in their own way. So your family should be proud of them." He smiled again.
He looked down at the ground as he pondered those names. Milkshake didn't ring a bell but Bliss..Bliss..BLISS! "I've met your dad before! That's why you look familiar! I met him when I was younger, quite a while ago. I should have known by the way you said your family talked about colors. Bliss didn't like his darkness from what he told me so you must take after your mother I assume." It had been ages since he'd crossed paths with the older stallion and now he got to meet that very same stallion's daughter.
"You don't have to call me sir", he chuckled. "But if you want to you can."

"Oh." The small mare shrugged, thinking about her father. He was definitely as plain as any soquili can get and he hated it. Poor guy...being like Viscoso would be a miracle to him. "Yes, I don't mind the way I look at all, but my father seems bothered by it..."
Vanilla Swirl giggled at his response to her parents names. "Bliss? Oh, well he never mentioned meeting a colorful colt before. But he is rather forgetful, so perhaps he just didn't remember. And yes, I take after my mother a lot more than Bliss. He passed his color onto my brother." The mare nodded, thinking about them. It had been a while since either Milkshake or Soqui had come around.
It was indeed strange meeting someone who your father met so long ago. Especially now that she was an adult...perhaps that meant that Viscoso was older than her. A lot older? She giggled at the thought, poor stallion being so old.
"Oh, well if you don't want me too, I won't. It's just polite. My mother taught me that."

"I don't blame him for forgetting, it was quite a long time ago. I'm surprised that I even remembered it. It was only a brief meeting." Viscoso looked at her markings and the colorings on her coat. "Your mother must be very unique. I don't know if I've ever seen a Soquili that looks similiar to you. Then again I haven't met a lot of Soquili", he chuckled.
He tilted his head at her curiously as she giggled. Did he miss the joke? Or was it just him that made her laugh? "What exactly did I miss that was so funny, hm?"
"I don't have a problem with you calling me sir, I guess no one's ever called me that before so it sounded a bit..strange. But it's good that your mother taught you manners. Shows that she's a good mother." He smiled.

Purple eyes stared at his coat, admiring the fact that it was so bright and perfect. How could her father ever forget meeting someone such as him? A bright soquili was rare to come by, and someone as colorful as Viscoso...? Nah, Bliss wouldn't forget that.
Would he?
Or was this stallion just lying?
Vanilla Swirl just nodded her head at his words, but then spoke up about her mother. No one said bad things about her, especially not other mares. They'd get what was coming to them, they would. "She's just white, with purple spots exactly like mine, and hair like your coat. She's not unique, you're unique." The small mare laughed, who was he to say that Milkshake was different, while he looked like a rainbow?
When Viscoso's next comment came, 'Nilla blushed a little bit, which was obvious on her coat. "Ohh, I was just thinking about how old you were." She quickly spat out foolishly.
There he went again, talking about her mother as if he knew her! What nerve! The mare stared at him with her soft purple eyes and sharply nodded once again. "A great mother, the best one ever. And I'll call you sir, Mister Viscoso only because I want too."

Viscoso laughed again and shook his head a bit. "Yes, yes I am unique. But who knows? There may be another rainbow out there just like me, we just haven't seen him or her yet. Didja ever think of that?"
When Vanilla mentioned his age, he just kinda stood there for a minute. "How old I am? That's an interesting question but I'm really not that old. Actually not even a year."
"Mister Viscoso is a new one too. Well then I guess I'll call you Miss Swirl only because I want to." He replied with a smirk.

The mare blinked. Was he just out to prove his brains were better than her own? She looked at him funny and pondered his question, "Well, no. But if there is another one that looks like you, then you're both just wierd. White is a more popular color than all of yours." Vanilla Swirl tried to regain her cool in sticking up for herself, but the words wouldn't come out right.
Hmm...well definitely now. Viscoso was out to prove something over her, either that or she really was just a blabbering dunderhead. "I just grew into an adult not a few days ago, alright so you're older than me by a lot!"
She smiled back in return to the stallion, still trying to keep her manners at a good level. "Miss Swirl? No, that's not right. Vanilla is better."
