"Nananana-nananana-nananana-naaaaa" Amara sang to herself as she ran in a circle, crouched down then pounced forward. She giggled, side stepped and repeated it again. So fun for her! Except, not so fun when no one was around to play. Where was Valen? The poop-head. She wanted fun time, Amara was a fluffy ball of energy, even the two menacing pups that scared her a bit weren't around.

The white and blue and red and white..scary little siblings, they would bite if she got too close, thats what she thoughts. Wagging her stubby fluffy tail Amara trotted around in a circle, and darted off into the high grass to head towards the stream. Perhaps she could catch a snake or frog to play with.

Where was the fun today?!

With water dripping off his snout, Quoba smiled as the cool water delighted his stomach. He had been running around so much that day that he definitely needed something refreshing. The weather was starting to get warmer, and with that the dark specks on his body were constantly burdening him to cool off. Sticking his paw in the water, he flicked it up only to watch the water dance up into the air. Doing such a thing was fun for him, though company would definitely make his day better.

Sighing, he plopped his body onto the ground and moved his paw around back and forth. There was nothing fun to snatch in the water, though remaining in front of the stream helped him relax and cool himself off. Quoba was just happy that he had found a stream, for only minutes ago he thought it was an impossible quest.

Amara skidded to a halt and a smirk of glee was upon her maw in an instant. A wild animal! What if it was a rabbit, ohhh! Then she could catch it and play with it and show her parents how fast and smart she was! Grinning Amara crouched down and began to stalk the 'dangerous creature,' moving inch by inch getting closer and closer. Mhmmm yes, victory would be hers!

As she got closer however, she noticed it wasn't a bunny, unfortunately, but a pup. Why was a pup all alone. Oh no! What if he didn't have a home or a family? That would not do! Amara showed herself from the grass and bounded towards him with a smile on her maw.

A new friend for her maybe?

Quoba thought he had heard something around him, so he quickly turned his body to see a wolf approaching. He couldn't tell if the wolf was dangerous, so he just held his ground and tried to remain calm. Everything was so unpredictable, and he felt his paw tense up around a small rock.

When the wolf was at a much closer distance, he realized that it was a female. He stood up from his comfortable position, and watched the warm-colored female bounce happily towards him. She seemed full of energy, and he was actually starting to get excited himself.

"Hello.." He said, shyly, but only because he was still not sure of her intentions.

"Hiii!" Amara exclaimed as she got closer and heard the pups voice. And he was a boy! Boys were so fun to play with, yes, yes they were. Skidding to a halt she pranced a circle around him, crouched down, then rolled onto her back to show she was not a threat to him at all, that she just wanted to play. "Hii, I've never seen you before, you look so cool, "I'm Amara who're you?" she asked blinking, eyes holding happy thoughts of what today might bring now.

Yay for friend, just yay.

Maybe her mom and dad would be proud of her for going out and making a friend all on her own. Yes, how good would that be? She smiled and made a happy whine. she wanted to play, did he want to as well? "Are you wandering or are you alone I can stay here or you can come with me and we can be friends forever...."

Taken aback by her energy at first, he stared at the female, slightly chuckling. "Hello, it is nice to meet you Amara. I am Quoba." He nodded his head, trying to enforce a small bow. He really wasn't used to this kind of conversation, especially someone who was so interested in getting to know him. He realized that his tail was wagging after a moment, and he was overly excited by her motives.

He was a bit confused by her next statement, but he tried to be pollite in his expression. "I am usually wandering alone, and I would like to be friends Amara. I am not sure what you mean 'forever' or to 'come' with you." He tilted his head at her, and was curious by what she was saying. He still had a ton to learn, and this female seemed to express a different and more fun side to life.

"What about you? Are you alone?"

"Friends forever! That means we'd be friends for all time and be with each other when we needed help or company and would have fun all the time forever. Oo Quoba, I like that name, such a nice name, so interesting and unique." Amara said nodding her head and giggling. Yes, Quoba was nice, was he trying to act serious with a bow? She giggled again. So funny she liked him.

"Come with me? Mean come with me and if you're alone you could probably come and stay in the pack I'm in. I bet our alpha would let you stay he's nice, my dad and mom know him yea," she said with another excited nod. "Me alone? Right now yes, but no at the same time, cause you're here. I usually wander alone, not many friends to play with lately."

The concept of someone wanting to be his friend also shocked him, so he continued to stare at the female with uttermost confusion. He was honored, but completely suprised anyone would ever think such of him. Quoba realized that he needed to stop being such a loner, especially since others maybe liked him.

"I think being your friend would be fun!" He smiled, and felt his body warm up at the thought. Amara was being so kind to him, and he really didn't deserve any of this from her at all. He almost felt bad at the thought.

"That's true, I am even not alone right now!" His tail bounced up and down at that thought, and he smiled widely. "But I am not sure what all of this means, but I am very honored that you would think such of me. I will have to think about that and figure it out too." He laughed, and perked his ears at Amara. "I bet you have lots of friends, you are too nice."

Amara gave him a goofy grin and wagged her tiny tail. Eeee! She made a new friend and his name was Quoba, and he was a cute puppy! She wriggled with excitement and anticipation of what they might do. Figure it out? She hoped he would soon, how cool would it be to have a friend live so close by? They could make a fort or something, and go there and play and no one would ever know! A secret place, yes, that'd be fun.

"Honor? Quoba is so silly, talks so nice of me though," she said giving him a nuzzle against his cheek, then running a circle around him. Eee! So much fun, she could barely contain herself. "Lots? No not really, my family yes, I know others, not really friends with them, 'cept Valen, he's nice, but he's been moody lately," she said sticking out her tongue. Stupid moody boys.

"They are these two pups I see wandering here, but they like..act weird with each other, yell and growl and stuff, I wanted to be their friend, but it seems like they would bite me or something..." she said ducking down, as if hiding from prying eyes of the two pups if they were close by.

Bad evil pups.

"But you are so kind to me.." His ears drooped playfully, and he watched her bounce around him again. She was talking so quickly, he was almost unable to take in everything she was saying. "I envy you for this.. energy!" Laughing, he blushed at the feel of her nuzzle. This must have been what affection was like, and he liked the idea of someone caring for him. "I could never be this lively, or at least, I have never tried.." Smiling, he continued to watch her bounce around.

"Family must be nice.. I am learning from everyone around me the concept of family. Is yours a big family?" He looked at her curiously.

"Weird pups? I wonder why they are like that.." He tilted his head to ponder with her, and wondered if he had ever seen them. "I don't think I have run into them yet, but that is too bad that they don't want to make the effort of friendship. Maybe they aren't fun anyway!" He nodded playfully.

"I give kindness to those who show me kindness, its only right, only fair yea? Plus, you're really nice and interesting and unique and just wow, so so nice to me," she said nodding her head, tail wagging as fast as it could. He was nice, too nice, she wondered why he was alone then. If he was so nice, why travel or be alone, especially when so little! She would remember when she would follow her dad everywhere when she was a little pup, yup, thats what she had done.

"Envy?" she tilted her head, did that mean he liked it a lot? She didn't understand the meaning of certain words still, she just loved being a pup still. "You should try, liveliness and energy is good, keeps you young at heart and strong in mind and bonds and ties," she said nodding her head. Yes, thats what dad had told her, yup.

"Family is nice yea, I want to be just like my mom, she is so strong and looks out for her family, found dad and had a family, she's a scout, very pretty, I want to be like her. My family is sort of big, bigger then others, I have 3 other siblings, though I don't see them much at all..." her ears fell back a bit at the mentioning of that.

Thats why she didn't have many friends, her siblings would be her bestest friends if they were around more. "Ya, they are real weird, strange fur on their heads but its cool...they just act...weird...like, not nie sorta..." she tried to explain. "Yea maybe! Cause they don't seem as nice or as fun as you Quoba!"

"I just like all of your energy, that's all I meant." He smiled to her, feeling dumb for using grown-up words that he overheard. He watched others so much that he was beginning to act as if he was older. "But either way, I agree it is good to be both of those things. I will try my best to liven up a bit!" He wagged his tail as she moved hers.

As she spoke of her family, his head tilted and once again because he wondered about a different phrase. One pup he had run into constantly spoke about her father, and now Amara was speaking of.. a mother? It sounded nice, whatever it was. He figured the whole family thing was connected anyhow. "Are they brothers or sisters?" His eyes expanded at the question, only out of excitement. It must be nice to be so close with family, Quoba was sure he would have that one day.

"Well if they are weird, then you don't need em' anyways right?" He stuck his tongue out playfully. He was still learning when the correct moment of being playful was, and he hoped he was getting the hang of it now. He needed to figure out his emotions better so he could meet more people naturally.

"Yes, livening up a bit is good, good for the heart and soul yes, makes you happy Quoba it does I swear it," she said with a giggle, tumbling over a bit only to roll onto her paws once again. Sometimes she had too much energy, and would end up rolling the wrong way and hitting something, those w re the times she regretted being too playful. But Quoba, he was so fun, so cool!

"I don't know if my mom or dad have any siblings, I would guess they do, but I have two other brothers and a sister, they are nice, yup, nice, but go away on their own a bit, leave me here to play by myself. But thats okay, cause I met you Quoba, and you're nice, very nice," she said with a reassuring nod.

Yup, Quoba was nice, great, yes he was.

"Guess I don't need them, don't need them now since I met yoouuu," she chimed.

Yup, Quoba was better then those two strange pups.

Happy? Quoba never considered himself not happy, though pure happiness was something he believed needed to be acheived through success. Well, that was the only way he knew, of course. But, watching Amara made his views on such things a bit skewed, especially since she seemed to radiate happiness constantly. "You are so happy, and I like that." He said, with a reassuring nod, "But do you ever get sad, too? I am so confused, emotions confuse me a bit." He put his head down and shook it roughly, a bit embarrassed to ask such a personal question.

Amara seemed like the kind of wolf he could ask anyhow, especially since they got along so well.

"I am glad I met you too, and I am sure they are just off hunting or something." He tried to give her a reassuring nod, but he really had no clue as to what they were actually doing. He just hoped Amara wasn't upset that they weren't there.

"I don't think I would like these pups, personally. Especially how you have told me about them so far." He giggled, and wagged his tail happily.

Amara beamed at him saying she was so happy, she liked being happy, being happy was so much better then being sad. Sad? Wow, could she read minds? He just said the word sad, maybe she was becoming a seer! Though she wasn't, her mind was just racing faster then she could have thought. "Sadness can come and go, being happy is better then being sad, being sad isn't nice...its like when you wake up in the middle of the night, and its cold and raining, and you just had a bad dream, and you feel alone, I don't like that...I'd rather much be happy then that," she said with a nod. She didn't like being sad, she didn't like it at all.

"Emotions are strange, I don't know many, mom and dad haven't told me much about them yet..." she said trailing off, though they would when she would get a bit older! She wagged her little tail and smiled, Quoba was cool, Quoba was fun, Quoba was happy. Least in her eyes.

Quoba was her friend.

Amara crouched down, wagging her tail in the air, a grin on her face, a happy goofy grin. She wanted to play, wanted to play with her new friend Quoba.
