Have any of you ever read this series....aka The Golden Compass, The Subtle Knife, and the Amber Spyglass? They are phenominal books, and they really get into what they call "Dust", which is basically in the end all of our soul's particles floating around and it's concious, it helps the things grow and live in our world (*According to the book anyways*) but I love the thoery behind it, so anyways has anyone ever read them?

I've read the first book. Just started on the second. Love these books. Also got the third one so I can start on it right after the second. Haha.

Edit: Finally finished them all a few weeks ago. So good! n.n

Those are really good. They were a bit hard to follow so I read the series a couple times. The whole idea of "Dust" seems really cool.

I've read the books, bought them, reread them...loved them. They're absolutely brilliant.

Sadly, I was actually trying to figure out the science behind the books. Dust, obviously, is not a real thing, but I was thinking about the knife, the daemon cutting thing...it really makes you wonder if we are capable of stuff like that.

There is that theory of all the different universes, parallel to each other and stuff, and I'm really into astronomy, so anything doing with that immediately catches my attention. No different here.

There's not really a discussion other than whose read the books, so maybe people can just ask about stuff they didn't understand in the books or something? ...just fishing for conversation here.

I read them all and loved them (hated the movie) though the solution to the big world ending problem disappointed me a bit.
It was all so thought out: the worlds, the characters, the plot. Great books.
