Nitika stetched her wings as she flew along the current of the wind. Tossing her head she felt the warm breeze all around she causing a wonderful smile to spread about her beautiful blue face. This very day brought great expectations and even surprises around ever corner. Curving herself she decended toward the ground letting things move in stride with her.

Shikoba was high above the ground, gliding on the currents of air. He knew they would support him, and he could tell when he would need to flap his wings again. He soared in circles, riding the air currents as they spiraled slowly towards the ground. As he got closer and closer to the earth once more, he adjusted the angle of his wings, allowing him a better position to land. When his feet finally brushed the grassy earth, he folded his wings to his side, and trotted to a stop.

Smiling she glided downward letting the air guide her evenly keeping her balance. Her sides glistening from the sunlight washing over like a small ocean as her white tipped wings hovered above like the clouds seated above her. Stretching her legs outward she decended landing with a perfect arc and grace flicking her tail afterwards in an array of purples and greens.
Looking around she noted something that piqued her curiosity. A strange soquili stood not to far off that held the most interesting composure. Why if she wasn't thinking she'd thought a bird would of stood there in front of her almost like Zaribe from back home. Smiling she spoke with an even clear tone open to the other if they's comply in a response.

Shikoba noticed the other Soquili land near him, and looked her over. She had a very strange color to her body and her mane and tail, and her wings looked like clouds. He didn't particularly want to talk to her, so he avoided making eye contact, and started grazing a little.

She continued to watch him with curiousity, but when he never attempted eye contact she frowned. So many different soquili she'd met, some nice some nasty, but always she pondered still trying to say hello atleast. What could it hurt anyway?
"Hello to you. Isn't it a lovely day?" she queried with a bright smile trying to remain positive he'd reply back. Her mother had always stressed making a good impression on anyone you'd meet in your lifetime, but what if the other didn't want to respond. Troubling indeed.

Shikoba sighed a bit as the other spoke to him. He wouldn't always start a conversation, but if somebody started one with him, he wasn't so rude that he wouldn't respond.
"Indeed it is," he said in a flat tone, and without lifting his head. There wasn't anything particularly uninteresting about this Soquili that made him not want to talk to her; he just wasn't a very talkative Soquili, and liked to avoid most social situations. He hoped that the other wouldn't take his passiveness personally.

Nitika widened her eyes with a glimmer, now there was hope he wasn't all that bad as some others she'd run across. Hopefully he'd respond more if she followed what her heart told her to do.
"I'm Nitika by the way. Oh if it isn't too much of a bother could you give me your name as well? Makes for a better perception of the other you've greeted" she nodded trying to be polite as possible. I really hope I'm not annoying him.

Shikoba finally lifted his head and looked at the other.
"Yes, my name is Shikoba."
He really didn't see the need for the explination of why she wanted his name. He knew why names were exchanged. Didn't everybody? He waited to see if she was going to say anymore, or if she just wanted his name.

Okay now they were in a somewhat two-sided converstaion. So far so good she thought meekly to herself trying to be positive. This is just a test for not everyone is a like... must stay postive.
"Are you new here?" she asked trying to make as polite a converstation as possible. Giving a stretch of her wings she stood there feeling akward but dared not to step forward just yet. Time was a fickle thing and had to be highly respected. In this meeting time was playing an important part in another of Nitika's life lessons.

He nodded his head a little.
"Yes, I only recently came here. I don't remember anything from before."
It was true, and he had found that it was strange to others. Whereas to him, he didn't think much of not knowing anything before he came here. He had worried about it for a little, but when he realized that he couldn't find much out, he just gave up and accepted it.

Nitika nodded her head and smiled.
"I was born here in this region along with my brother and sister," she noted with another nod as her tail swished back and forth. I hear that both my parents aren't native to these parts so I guess I have heritage I still need to learn about".
She looked upward at the sky noting all the birds and the happy chirping going on. Wasn't such a bad day in her opinion. He had a gruff exterior yet he was inclining to chat with her atleast. There had to be some hope in the whole attempt for a conversation.

Shikoba nodded in return.
"So I guess you like it here? You've been here you're whole life, I assume you must like it."
This was the only land that Shikoba knew as well. He liked it well enough. But then again, he had no land to compare it to. He closed his eyes as a light breeze blew through his long mane. He opened his eyes again and looked back at Nitika.
"Where are your brother and sister?"

"Actually yes, " she beamed with an approving nod, "I've always come to like this place, though i'm curious about the rainbow falls my mother mentioned. I bet they're really pretty this time of year."
She smiled with a nother swish of her long tail letting it brush over the emerald grasses beneath her. Such are dreams that flow with in one's heart and mind. Maybe someday she'd go to that place her mother was from.
Looking back at Shikoba she had a moment of silliness realizing that her thoughts made her look entirely to pensive at the moment.
"My brother is with father out on some adventure, which sadly my mother up and chased after them a few months ago. My sister I haven't seen since we arrived out of the baskets when we were but foals".

"You haven't seen her? Where did she go?"
He thought it was slightly strange. He didn't have a family himself, but he knew what they were, and he knew that usually they stayed together and were very close. But the way Nitika spoke about her siblings, it seemed as though they were not very close at all.
"And what are the rainbow falls? I have never heard of them."
It sounded to Shikoba like they were some silly bright happy place, obviously with rainbows. He imagined it would be too bright and cheery for him. He wasn't necessarily a sad or sullen creature, but he didn't see the point of being overly happy all the time.

"No," she replied with a frown, "She just went out on her own and hasn't returned".
She knew Tansy was around somewhere, it was just decided that probally Tasy was out on her own adventure finding a new life elsewhere.
Perking her ears she spoke once more, "Mother says they were named the "rainbow Falls" due to how the sun laid upon the falling water, and looking at them from a distance or up close you swear you've just seen water composed of a rainbow," she laughed with a toss of her head. Really it did sound a bit far fetched, but Saissis never once lied about anything in Nitika's entire life. So the truth in point was if it was simply legend or possibly just something made up. Indeed a journey would be planned to experience it for herself.
"What sights have you heard of or seen in your travels up until now?" she queried with curiousity. There were always rumors or stories that lingered throughout the ages. Perhaps there was one she'd missed somewhere along the line.
