Some people hate him because.. well.. they think that he's evil for leaving konoha to join orochimaru or something. sweatdrop

There are a lot of different reasons. I'm sure one of the former-Sasuke Haters can tell you a lot.
1. They think he's a jerk.
2. They say no one belongs with him, and that he couldn't love a piece of fruit.
3. They think he's, and I quote, "soooo emoooo".
4. They hate him for leaving Konoha for powah.
5. They think he had a moderate childhood compared to Naruto's.
6. They just want some one to hate, plainly.

A lot of people think that Sasuke's the powerhungry member of the group, which he is, but only for good reason.
His life was totally destroyed when his brother massacred his clan.
Which is the root of "Sasuke the Emo."
Sasuke's not emo.
If my brother killed my whole family, I'd be ever so slightly pissed at the world too! =
He wants to get his head straight and do what he swore to do. Kill his brother and avenge his clan. Please note that Sasuke refers to himself as an "avenger." Not a "destroyer" or a "murderer." An Avenger.
He is taking revenge for his clan on his evil brother.
If he's trying to get him back, whats so bad about that?
Avenge-
1. To inflict a punishment or penalty in return for; revenge: avenge a murder.
2. To take vengeance on behalf of: avenged their wronged parents.
A lot of people think he's a jerk, but if you really look at the facts, you'll see that he's doing what he believes is right, the good thing. He left Konoha so he could achieve this. He wanted power for a decent reason, even if it meant leaving those close to him. Sasuke doesn't mindlessly kill for the heck of it. Remember before he killed Orochimaru? And he was standing amongst a group of fallen shinobi and didn't kill a single one of them despite the level of power he had obtained? If he was anything but good, he would have.
A majority Sasuke-haters dont understand that.

Humph, when people say he's "emo" it reeeaaallly annoys me! Since as much as I love the trend, he just isn't one. Emos hate themselves, they want to kill themselves, they're suicidal. How is Sasuke any of those? He shows no signs of self loafing, he wants to stay alive to kill Itachi so if he had killed himself, what would the point be? *Rolls eyes* Haters really need to think their reasons through properly...

And anyone who says he needs to stop being emo about his clan getting killed has to be stupid. Let's take the person you admire most, have them kill your whole family, and let's see what problems you have.
And, how can someone say his past is moderate compared to Naruto? Sasuke said it himself "You never had people to lose. You didn't know what it was like to lose someone." (it was something like that, wasn't it?)

I have to say Sasuke and Gaara had the worst, Naruto was lucky in comparison. sad
I'm not at all a Naruto hater, but he never had anything to lose.

Many people dislike him for alot of reason.But mostly I blame everything on Itachi if his clan were still alive then he would be more happily and smile alot offend HELL he would probably even Sakura more heart .Anyways people hate him because of choosing power over friendship he betrayed the village left leaving everyone confussed and angry.Hell I would be angry to but I kind of understand why he left I would upset no I would be more then upset if my brother that I loved and cared for the one who I looked up to killed my family.I get mad easly so yeah I would want to kill him xD.Another reason why is this lack of emotion but doesnt bother most people.Snice his betrayal is the main thing well its kind of my main thing most people hate him.(This one is more famous xd )Also his lack of emtion for Sakura and more intersted in Naruto mostly because he wants to match his strenght everyone thinks hes gay o.0.In my opinion hes a cool guy and he doesnt know want he wants in life just to kill someone that was once dear to him, he doesnt want love or friendship cause he thinks it would interfer with his plans so he hides his emotions inside.And he has a damn good reason for leaving the village xd hell I would too..I was just upset that he wouldnt have tooken Sakura but then she'll be holding him back..some dreams never come true I guess crying
