Appearance: Kiya has long, thick, red, curly hair that is often in a messy bun atop her head. She is about 5'9, and about 160lbs. Although not described as fat, she certainly isn't skinny. Her body is built sturdy, and therefore gives her a rather imposing figure. Because of this body structure, she has a lot of natural strength. Usually found in her favorite long, black coat, Kiya can be caught wearing a loose pair of jeans and any form-fitting blue, green, or brown shirt. These colors accentuate her deep blue eyes, which also stand out because of her rather pale skin tone.
Personality: Kiya can seem rather shy and simple when she first is introduced, but beyond that calm exterior she has a very harsh and sarcastic nature. Exceptionally vain, she often will be offended by those whom she thinks are of a 'lesser intelect' than herself. She loves to read, and therefore deems anyone who doesn't have the same interest as 'too culture obsessed'. Once close to someone, though, Kiya will love them with all her heart. The people she truely care for will always benefit greatly from her friendship. Most knew not to even tease those close to Kiya, fearing the punishment she would enforce. Because of this, though, Kiya was apt to overreact in situations, and usually jumped to conclusions before really giving the other side a chance. She was swift to punish, and would therefore be caught in many (often unneccissary)fights.
History:Having grown up most of her life in a medium sized town, Kiya loves the country and has a hard time being in cities. Her family was regular for their time; father and mother, who were divorced but peaceful, and a younger sister named Tira. Usually found to be near the top of her class, she exceled in all exams, and in classes involving the studies of other cultures or history.
Kiya had always had a history of violence, also. She wasn't a 'bad kid', per say, but she had her fair share of fights. Whenever any of her friends or family were threatened or insulted, Kiya would be there to handle punishment. One of the most memorable, and recent, examples of this was in Kiya's first year of college. She had been a reluctant designated driver at a college party for her friend Lilly. She was left in a room surrounded by couples when her friend went downstairs to watch a movie, and had met (and really offended) the hostess of the party. When the hostess claimed that a drunken Lilly had been taken into a room by a football player, Kiya reacted by breaking a boy's (who had attempted to help the hostess) nose, and threatening to throw the hostess out of a two story window. She was close to throwing the terrified girl out the window, only to find out that Lilly had never actually been in any room with any boy.
Simple a story as it may seem, it truely shows Kiya's rash and hateful nature.
