Well, the cut of for the Join Hands Day program has come and gone, at least for 2007, but that just means we have a lot of time to begin preparing for 2008's JHD.
For those of you who don't know, Join Hands Day is a day of Youth and Adult partnership in community building projects, where a youth group and adult group comes together to help plan and execute a project that benefits the community. In past years, the Modern Woodman Junior Club (which I am a member of) has worked with with the Children's Zoo, Nursing Homes, and other groups to help build stronger communities through planting trees, making arts and crafts, and otherwise dispelling the idea of today's youth as being destructive degenerates.
If anyone knows of any groups that would be willing to partner up with QCAD either as the Youth Drop In group or one of our many other groups, please post here.
