Welcome to my [Lab 305] quest!
I have been silently stalking this thread since its beginning. I love the concept (I've actually read Rokutousei Supika, from where the idea for the structure came from, before the thread existed), the art, and the people that strive here.
Well, I've finally decided to create my own quest thread to run my ideas through. My other account is Sacred Tear.

02 ConceptsMAIN Fel Essence Reversal Wind
Many people say the well known quote, "I can feel the winds of change," but this wind turns back the wear and tear of erosion. This wind uncarve canyon walls and remake the foundation worn away by nature.

There are two auroras in the world that appear at the two poles created by solar winds. They are known as the aurora borealis or "Northern Lights" and aurora australis, its southern counterpart. But after the unnatural storm, pieces of the two colorful lights blended together forming a third dark light invisible to the naked eye, unless one intentionally looks for it. Those who've seen it believe it's the gate to the netherworld since they claim to have seen the eyes and malicious grins of demons. This light thrives around the equator during the day, constantly flashing into and out of existence. Soul Throne
Often considered the third rank in the hierarchy of angels are the Thrones. Because they are powerful yet humble, humans consider them the Perfect Being (they've got healing powers, not ones that smite people). Sometimes called the Angels of Justice, Thones carry out God's orders and are dispatched like charioteers earning their nickname the "Wheel." (They're actually messengers, they deliver word of what to do to angels of lower rank)
Some sources claim Thrones have four faces and four wings. The four faces include the face of man, lion, ox, and eagle.
(one source claim that they are the third rank of the first sphere while another says its the first rank of the second sphere in the angel hierarchy, one source ranks them above seraphims and another on the same level as the cherubims, it's too confusing @_@ I don't know what is what any more, I've just read about 10 articles some claiming that they are wheels with eyes while others claim that those are Cherubims and Thrones have four faces and four wings, what is what? I'm not exactly sure any more, I'll try and find another soul or else this one will just be the Throne that means justice and has four wings
In regards to the Angel concept already been done, Kali's is a warrior angel. Thrones are far from being warriors. From all the research I've done, Thrones are considered messengers of heaven and are notorious for their speed and movement. They have healing powers and can detect injustice but all they can do to injustice and evil is bring light to the matter. It's not their job to correct or bring justice. With that put aside, I will consult Kali if I catch her to critic on it. )

Personality: Although angels have an aura of light and glory, Ezbon has one of hate and malice. A frightful presence that confuses and scares people into doing his bidding good will (got to complete the quota? XP it's more like just cause he can't do something about it doesn't mean he can't make someone else). When his aura does not work, he resorts to persuasions. He's also very sarcastic and has a bit of a temper. Concept 02 Fel Essence Bottled Hate
description 1:
Undying grudges, deceit, and animosity all lead to hatred. Though many believe objects and animals feel no emotion, the truth is that they do. Hate is released when a tree is cut down, when a young calf is slaughter for meat, when a spider is stepped on, when an ant hill is destroyed, or any other said misfortunes. The pure animosity in this bottle tells the tales of many who cannot speak for themselves.
description 2 (idea taken from the song "Before He Cheats" by Carrie Underwood):
The car was in no condition to be driven. It's tires slashed, the front lights beaten, the windows smashed, paint peeling from its scratch markes, and the leathers seats are torn spilling their internals over the car floor. Asides from the marks of abuse, there appears to be a dark haze around the car. Kyou managed to get close enough to gather some crushed glass and sealed it in this bottle. The mist hovering over the pieces in the shape of a skull, the sign of someone's imminent hate still lurking in the broken remains. Soul White Dove

Personality: Syna's mind and body wants to keep peace and retain pure values while her heart aches to wreck havoc causing her to have a dual personality. Her goody-two shoes side is a lot stronger and is thus her dominant personality.
She eats, more like absorbs, hate and makes people and things feel happy but when everyone's happy, she no longer has food and her good side becomes weak. This causes her dark side to surface because the good can no longer override the evil. Afterall, one can only live on an empty stomach for so long... Concept 3 Fel Essence Obscure Data
Rumor has it that the digital world overlaps the real and had been so since the beginning of time. Many have only seen it through a computer screen or some other sort of window into this other dimension of time and space (if not defined properly before, a world that data can't be modified freely, the part not made by man); however, there is a small strand of data in the real world that had washed off from the barrier between ours and theirs during the storm. Like most computer data, this strand of data is coded with only 1 and 0. It is impossible to decipher unless executed.
( I understand that its stretching the boundaries of man-made and not but after thinking about it for a while, I decided that there must have been something there before. Something so that we could work with. From the fundamental theories of physics and such, there isn't anything that comes from nothing. No one can say exactly -where the internet and the web came from- ( please refer to discussion on pg 2 ) why the world is dictated by numbers and mathematical formulas. So why can't there be a world out there that we've only came to discover through what we believe to be out own cleverness?

Raiju
Raiju is Raiden's, thunder god in Japanese mythology, minion. Often seen as the fireballs dancing through the trees. It isn't advised to sleep outside during a storm since Raiju might decide to join you when he's tired and Raiden must wake him up using a fire arrow.

Personality: Rather energetic and hyper but cold and calculating on the inside, that’s basically the only portion of the brain the scientists worked on. Her base personality is one who is easily amused and brimming with curiosity.

I prefer your second concept, because I feel like the essence and the soul seem to clash better. The first concept is good, but the raven soul doesn't seem to really catch my attention. I also had a question about the first: Were you saying that there were computers during the storm or that like..there were two worlds, the digital one and the real world and the strand got like..separated/mixed with the wrong world? @___@; Sorry I bet I sound so confusing!
Also the personality for the raven seemed a little too...all over the place. I think you should have him mature or something, or have some kind of focus like..Luka. If someone made him a light prankster when he was younger but as he matured his pranks became more complex and detailed. I mean...development.

I understand...well, what I thought was that this other world always existed and a piece of it torn off. Modern day computers are just a tool to access this other world...the world isn't inside the computer.
But if it's too confusing, I'll just discard it...I was starting to like the second one better anyway ^^

A very good start for a quest!
The main problems I see are with the obscure data. That could be considered man-made object and not fitting within the main story's plot. I would suggest you elaborate and further explain how this data came to be or how it fits within the story. The soul is an excellent contrast, but quite common. Also his personality is a tad TOO random. Give his some structure so he isn't having emotional breakdowns constantly. Perhaps, he will gain stability as he grows older?
I also enjoy your aurora essence a lot more than your data one. Perhaps you could even intertwine it further into the shop's storyline. The storm could have "mixed" the two auroras together momentarily and thus formed a small third aurora. By no means do you have to use this... I'm just spouting random ideas right now. xD;; Again, another wonderful soul choice to contrast the essence. Just be weary, because Tari already has an angel as a soul. I love the thought that he persuades other to do charity work for him.

I never noticed that Tari was an angel, until now Oo;; but <3<3 on your ideas ^^ I would have never thought of the combination thing, I might use it if you don't mind. And I love the idea of forcing others to do charity work, lol. Thanks alot!!!
I'm going to discard Leet, I had him because I wanted to try RPing many different personalities, but I can probably do that with the guardian character since had gone through trauma and can be mentally unstable.

I honestly don't know where to start, but I'll try my best.
Your first concept seems to be your strongest as the essence has much promise. Although I raise the same concern with the angel soul since Tari has one already. But it might also be interesting to see how two different types of angels will interact. So I wouldn't write it off so quickly, but it is a concern.
The other two aren't as promising as Bottled Hate runs along the lines of what Kyou was talking about that essences like this would mean that you could basically bottle anything and therefore isn't as interesting. Not to mention that it seems to be bordering that of the Cloud of Despair, in how it pertains to your Raevan's possible powers. Also, the soul is rather common and birds have been done to death in the lab now, so I would recommend going with something else instead. Which is funny because the Cloud of Despair also has a bird soul, an eagle, so a very fine line indeed.
Obsured Data is very interesting, but it would need some real work to get it to fit so that it doesn't fall into the 'man-made' category. It might work, but Kyou has mentioned something about her thought in that data is created by computers and computers are made by man, but this suggests that it's its own world so...I'm not quite sure how Kyou would react to it. It is something to look into, although the soul is going to be a deal breaker since it's of a god and this leads to power, god-mod and throwing the world off balance issues that Kyou has mentioned before in the main thread.
So yes, again, you're strongest essence right now is your Dark Aurora while none of your souls seem right. Yet this is all just my opinion, though I do certainly hope I helped you in some way. Keep up the good work and good luck in getting your Raevan!

Why haven't I posted this quest thread before? XD I'm going to have to agree with everyone else that the Dark Aurora is your best idea so far. The angel soul may or may not cause a few problems... in my opinion a Throne and a valkyrie / warrior angel have a similar relation to all the bird souls we have. Different species in the same class, as it were. :3 It wouldn't hurt to ask Kalindara for input if you feel like it would help, though.
Bottled Hate, I'm not as keen on. You have an essence that radiates negative emotions... that alone might be a bit too close to the Cloud of Despair for comfort, but then again I'm probably a little biased because we're talking about my Raevan and I'm deeply in love with how she's turned out in my head. XD Bird souls are indeed way overdone, though, and it's true that Kyou discourages taking things that are usually nonphysical and sticking them in bottles. If you like this concept enough to try and rework it, maybe have it be a natural object that was somehow affected by this powerful hatred instead of the feeling itself?
As for Leet... sorry, but I personally don't feel like it would work. It's kind of a heavy suggestion to make that some sort of cyber-world existed way back when and is still around today, even though it's common knowledge that the Internet, etc. were man-made unless you're, like, in Digimon or something to that effect. Having a fel essence that has a basis in pure information is a cool idea. However, making it something digital probably isn't going to cut it. And, yes, having the soul be a god crosses one of the very few ethical boundaries the Lab universe has about such a thing.
You seem to like celestial-being type souls, so I'd recommend maybe hitting the library and reading up on some you wouldn't find as much information on through Internet searches. :D

Thanks for the input, I appreciate it. I'll look at what you've written and try and fix it. I do favor celestial souls more than any other soul but I could hit to books for something better in the same area.
I actually had the idea of Bottle Hate a while ago and didn't put it on here, but I guess it is clashing with something else, didn't think of that ahead of time. That idea sprouted out of the god items from Gaia. Since doves are often symbolized with Greek objects, I was thinking along the lines of Greek mythology.
To tell the truth, I was sort of ripping off of Digimon in that affect. I like the idea of pure data though and I was deciding whether or not I should change the soul to Raiju instead since Raiden is a god.
EDIT: Screw that, Leet's soul's going to be an orange. No more deep meanings.
