Arenas (what it can be changed to ^^):
Classic: A flat field with no obstacle, a quite smooth hard surface. Its easy to get a grip on this floor but its very hard to hide in a course such as this. There are 4 statues at each of the corner. Each one has a statue of of a warrior on it. Tall and mighty. Breakable XD.
Grasslands: A large grassy scenario is used here. here everything is highly flammable. No trees, just tall rich green grass.
Jungle: A large jungle scenario with plenty of places to hide and duck about. Beware of some random marshes here. (yeah the Arena is HUGE) Everything is quite flammable too here, but not as much due to the plant life type.
Factory (Fire): The factory is a complete steel arena with fiery machines that constantly hiss and give off some flames from the top. In the center there is a huge furnace type machinery that is quite dangerous to be around O_o;; . this makes it so that battles aren't only limited to the ground. People can leap onto steel platforms and take their battles airborne ^^.
The Frozen Tundra(ice): A completely frozen battlefield with plenty of various frozen obstacles. There is a large ice creating machine frozen underneath the battlefield. Traction on this type of battlefield is almost impossible. (its ice.. duh x_x)
Lost Desert: A giant Sandy battlefield made with its own weather effect of sandstorms. Made to obscure fighters vision and add to the difficulty of moving around. The sand gives you a lil too much traction that is hard to start moving quickly and such.
Cave: Here a giant cave will be formed in the battlefield, darkening players visions and such and a heavy chilly moist cave feeling around them. The playing field is breakable but it would take a lot of strength breaking the power of mother earth's tightly packed rocks.
Sea of Hope: A complete water field with a only 2 islands. Its.. water... not much to say about this : / . Its rather deep, like 20 feet deep.
Abyss:: A complete Dark Aura battlefield. No obstacles but there is a hazy purple mist that lingers around the field. Mainly for those who use dark magic can summon up powerful spells here.
Alchemist Paradise (Junkyard):: A giant Junkyard with many objects Alchemists can use to transfer them into weapons or anything their heart desire ^^; Plenty of hiding spaces here. There are a few conveyor belts about here that are working O_o.
Pearly Gates: The pearly gates is just the Abyss but vice versa. It has a huge Spirit energy floating about for magic and Light users to use to summon Their spells. Very cloudy like here ^^.

Monster: You control the monster, along with your partner. You make it's movements, and what powers it has, what it looks like/size, and so on.

Van entered the arena. He cringed at the sound of his real name. He looked to see that Victoria was with him and relaxed at the sight of her. He looked across the field to see the creature that was waiting for them. It stood there on its four multi jointed legs with a pincer like mouth that was level with Van's chest. It had a thick gray exoskeleton with its eyes set far into their sockets. There appeared to be only a few openings in the shell around the limbs and neck. Van reached down to his waist and undid the chain that was wrapped around his waist with one hand while the other reached to the back of his head and pulled out two daggers with special blades and ends. With a quick wrist movement he attached one to the end in his hand and then threw the chain into the air catching the other end and attaching the other dagger to it. "Cover me." He kept the chain whirling at the same beat, following a set rhythm as he charged the monster. He swung the chain into the air hoping to land the dagger at the end into the shell. The dagger hit the target, but the creature had no intention of making it easy for van. It swung its large armored tail around and slammed it straight into Van sending him across the floor sliding as he felt a few ribs crack. Stupid, I should have known better Van stood up trying to catch his breath and grabbed two more daggers from his back. He had lost his chain and would now have to get closer to the beast. He looked up and saw that getting close wouldn't be a problem since the monster was rushing him.

"O-Okay! I-I'll work on defense, Van! Be careful out there!" Biting her lip in concentration, Victoria took her side bag stuffed tightly with a menagerie of art supplied and scooped out a pair of markers and her drawing pad. The white luminescent fog of the Pearly Gates area made it difficult to make out the two figures of Van and the monster. Taking a deep breath, Victoria reached mentally outward to the swirling streams of spirit energy moving amongst the clouds. Spinning it like thread into her being, she channeled it out carefully into her hands as she began to draw a series of protective circles.
Victoria's eyes began to glow a white-hot blue, like a pair of stars in space as she drew, the circles and runes becoming more elaborate and complicated. As she drew, lines of blue spell energy began to write themselves in the space about her and Van, forming a protective barrier.
The creature gave a clicking shriek, stabbing it's pencher mouth at Van as it rushed him. But as it was about to come into contact with his face, it suddenly seemed to slam into an invisible wall. Reeling back, it skittered and tried to attack with it's spiny clawed legs, spider-like in it's movements. The shield seemed to be holding it's own, flashing with blue sparks every time the creature hit it, but with every blow Victoria grunted with effort to hold it. The shields were begining to lose their strength...
"The shield isn't going to last much longer! Use this chance to get a better position! We need to distract it and aim for its weak points, Van!"
The monster reared and twisted it's sunken eyes to her, giving another clicking shriek. Suddenly it's pincers opened and out exploded a stream of black steaming goo, which splattered across the surface of Victoria's shield. Giving a small shriek, Victoria leaped back a couple of clumsy steps, as her metaphysical shield began to unravel with the acidic spit. "A-AH! W-What is this?!"

Thank you god Van was lucky this time. the creature had almost killed him. He was now limited though. One wrong move and he might loose more than a weapon this time. The creature did not like being held from its prey though and Van soon knew that the shield was gone.
The creature dove its pincers at Van who leaped into the air and soon saw that his chain had not come loose from the beast back. His foot landed on the creatures skull allowing him to push off and try to land on its back. He hit the exoskeleton hard and started to fall off, if it had not been for the chain though he would have. His knuckles were white from the stress put on them as Van pulled himself up trying to regain his balance. The dagger that had previously been in that hand now was laying on the ground mockingly as he now was half as armed as he was comfortable being.
The creature bucked like a crazed bull trying to send Van across the room again so that it could gain the advantage. Van was persistent though and latched on to the chain like his very existence depended on it.
Metal hit the ground sending a sharp ring through the air, another dagger hit the ground and Van only had one hope left. His hand found the last of the daggers he had with him. "Can't get rid of me that easily. I'm too stubborn" Latching himself to the creature with the chain Van started to move towards the head of the bucking beast who was now settling into a charge.

The creature was hissing and bucking, running full out in a crazed rage. It headed for Victoria, whose mythical shield at disappeared. "A-ah! Stay back!" She dodged to one side, but one of it's many legs caught her in the stomach as it roared by, knocking the wind from her lungs and sending her back head over heels a few feet. The sketch pad slid across the floor on the other side of the monster's path, and her markers scattered into the fog. Eyes wide, and gasping for breath, Victoria tried to painfully crawl away as she tried to force air back in her lungs. It hurt!
Seeing one of Van's daggers near her hand, Victoria picked it up as the monster gave a lurching halted, dropping its frontal weight in an effort to throw Van off of it. Holding the dagger tightly, Victoria tried to hunt through the luminescent fog for her art supplies. She couldn't see them anymore!
"Ah! Van! My sketch pad!" She held the blade awkwardly, not experienced with such a tool at all. She could...draw on herself with this...but...something like that was used as a. err, last resort.
Finally able to take a few gasping breaths, she got to her feet, her skirts in disarray, and headed for where the monster was bucking about. Hunching over, she sidestepped legs and pincers taht came clickingly close as she tried to find her things. She gave a yelp and threw herself out of the way as the segment legs tried to stomp her like a group of horses hooves.

Van had to do something, Victoria was in danger and he would die before he allowed the creature another chance to attack her. He tugged the chain to make sure it would hold in the creatures bone before sending him self foward into the monsters face. He now was able to look the beast in the eye as he hung off of the chain using his feet to balance himself on the face. It was the only available opening Van could take. While holding on to the chain with one hand he gripped the dagger tightly in his other. "Nighty night ugly" He drove the dagger with all of the force he had into one of the creature's eyes. Van was enraged as he drove the dagger in over and over. This thing had hurt Victoria and now Van had it right where he wanted it to be.
A large crash rose into the air as Van soon realized what had just happened. Every arena had walls and this one, although they were hard to see, was no exception. A pain ran through his ribs and back as he hung on the edge of consciousness. He had been able to ignore his pain until now. Bloob. He started to spit up blood. Van still only wanted one thing, this creature dead. He pulled his head pack and let loose a bit of the warm red liquid into the creatures other eye. His ribs might of have been broken but his spirit was not. He rose the dagger again hammering relentlessly at the socket longing to plunge it deep into the creatures brain. The skull cracked under the relentless blows slowly showing the creature pulsing brain.
Van lifted the dagger to strike for what he thought would be the last time but the creature had other plans. It slammed him into the wall again this time with a greater effect. Van dropped to the ground, his broken body seeming to loose animation as he fell. The creature raised a foot to crush Van, but the blinded monstrosity could not find him while he used his arms to drag himself out of the creatures range
"Victoria, his armor is broken and one quick stab will kill it. Please Vic finish it." He stopped where he was, the monster now knew where he was and was coming to finish the job.
Father, are you happy now?

Victoria stood to the side of the monster, spattered in its blood, wide-eyed as she watched Van lay there brokenly. The monster shrieking in blind pain and trying to hunt him out. Her hand clenched around the dagger as the corner of her eye spazmed.
Van....Van was hurt...because she was too weak, Van had gotten hurt...was he dying? Was it all her fault...again? One stab he had said...the armor was freed from it's brain...she could see the pulsating tissue welling with black blood.
Eye twitching, Victoria's head hung down. Her entire body tightened, as a deep set rage rose like a black wave within her, coating her mind in flames. Lifting her head, her fists bringing up the dagger, Victoria's eyes began to bleed dark blue fire as she let out a roar of fury. The monster turned to her, hesitating over Van, as she kept screaming. Spittle flying from her mouth, and long black hair whipping about her head in a sudden gust of wind, Victoria blindly stared it down. Something in the quiet shy artist had snapped...something that usually lurked beneath the surface since her brother's death.
"YoUr NoT aLlOwEd To HuRt My FrIeNdS!!!" Bringing up the knife, unable to setttle for a simple stab to the creature's head, she sliced the palm of her hand and slapped the bleeding gash onto the white marble floor. Smearing it across the surface she began to draw a crude shape, not even bothering with a circle of protection. It has to pay....has to Pay...this is my fault, I shouldn't have screwed up...I'm always ruining things!!
When it was done, the design glowed with the amount of her own personal energy that she had poured uncaringly into it. Ethereal flames licked up ghostly from the design, as she raised her red coated fist high into the air.
"SuMmon: BlAdE oF tHe BlAcK HoRsEmAn!!" She threw her hand down, pulling and channeling the clouds of energy billowing about her and flinging them down into the large bloody mural at her feet. She had only tried this once before...and had paid for it dearly. But with her anger and self-hate fueling her, Victoria suddenly felt invincable.
A high pitched keening issued from her drawing, and suddenly it shivered. From out of the white ground, a massive black armored horse and a giant-sized rider leapt up and slammed back to the ground in a clattering of hooves. It towered above Victoria, eye-level with the massive monster.
"KiLl It My KnIgHt!!" She growled between clenched teeth, standing there in her blood stained skirts. The Horseman gave a nod, its pitch black armor jingling and solidly real as it lifted a butcher knife-shaped sword that was bigger than the horse itself. Whistling through the air, the knight brought it down on the monster's head a crash, splitting it in two. The monster's legs twitched as it fell in two pieces, its insides spilling out across the floor. The knight saluted Victoria, before breaking away into a fine black shimmering cloud of particles and blowing away.
There...it was done with...they could get help now, and Van could be--
Victoria's thoughts went black as her eyes rolled up in their sockets, all of her energy leaving her in an instant as the mystical balance of the costly summon took its due. Like a marionette with its strings cut, the artist passed out and hit the ground in a heap.

Length and Pacing: Awesome. It was very fun to read, and you're posts are long and descriptive. My only complaint is that some of the sentences seemed a little long . . . like I was reading a ton without taking a breath. Maybe I just read to fast.
General Grammar rules: I don't think I caught anything.
Personality: Interesting. It was interesting to see Victoria's mood swing, but I felt like Van was a little flat. He seemed to only have a battle mode, while Victoria had a little more personality. . . like freaking out a little.
Use of Environment: After the first post or so, I felt like the enviroment disappeared.
Details: Great. I could see everything playing out in my mind. I only had to re-read some parts to grade you. I have to say that your battle was a job well done.
Sage_Nashae's Finale Grade: 8/10
LadyPrincePyro's Finale Grade: 9/10

Length and Pacing: GOOD! I thought the pacing was pretty good, I didn't really feel like you were flying through things.
General Grammar rules: I think I did see a few spelling mistakes, but nothing major.
Personality: Sorry Sage, but I think Pyro's character totally came in first when It came to personality. Like Summoner said, Van was just in fight/battle mode, while Pyro's character was just a little more active with the personality.
Use of Environment: With an arena such as this I guess it was hard to do, but at least you took the cloudy, fogginess and mixed it in with what was happening.
Details: Pretty good, it flowed fairly easily. I did have to re-read a thing or two because I got confused, but nothing major.
Sage_Nashae's final score: 8/10
LadyPrincePyro's final score: 8.5/10
