And since Seraphic Gate has been around for almost 1/2 year. We'll commemorate this occasion by having a contest, with the No. 1 winner having the reward of This Months Letter and whatever leftover gold I have
The contest
You must write a story involving anything futuristic involving the world, aliens, or any of that non-sense. The only requirement of the subject is that it must take place on the planet Earth, and in the future. How far into the future doesn't matter.
This story must be at least 300 words.
Must have acceptable English class grammar.
Drama, Comedy, Adventure, Science Fiction. It doesn't matter.
The Scoring
You will be graded by 7 selected and unbiased judges. You will be judged on: Creativity, Grammar, Story, Voice, and just the readers overall Opinion.
You will post your story in the Roleplaying forum in your own thread.
This contest ends May 24th, the actual Anniversary of the contest.

Yeah... I really couldn't think of any elements of sci-fi to really base an original story off of... D= It's like.. everything has been done before. Even the simplest ideas of what sci-fi technology there may be.. No matter how absurd, it's been done before. D=
... Anyone know of an old, but still on going anime called Doraemon? o_o'

I have a few ideas written up, but because I've been high on drugs (painkillers) since last friday, I haven't had a chance to start writing/be sober to see if the ideas are good enough. But I'm at my dad's house this weekend, so I can hopefully get some writing up.

You do know it takes more than a whim to write a story for a competition, right?
And though I have the beginning and the end done, I still need to find a way to make everyone love the main character.

Problem is Cranky... if you're the only one entering, I really wouldn't like the idea of you winning, because you DIDN'T win anything, other then being the only one with an interest.

XD Well, just prolong it for a bit longer. Some people are just getting out of school and stuff.. and some are still in school anyway, with finals coming up.
