I find the idea intriguing. How can you beat Warriors and Rogues about the same level as you? sweatdrop

I never got to 60 with my hunter--but at lvl 51 I could wtfpwn both those classes--it's all about the ice trap--and feign death + ice trap, and scattershot, and wing clip, and aimed shot, and knowing when to put your pet on passive and when to send it in. Your pet can practically kill a rogue while you kite the rogue, because pets are always ignored. And if they aren't ignored--the person not ignoring it is dead meat anyway.
It's trickier if either gets the jump on you. Hamstring is ouchies. As is all that ridiculous overpowered crap that rogues do. xp Usually my solution to that is slam like crazy on scattershot until it goes off (make sure you put pet on passive immediatley) and while you are slowed, get far enough to FD + trap while they are walking around buggered, pot, arrow/DOT the rogue so they can't disarm it, bandage or something if you have time while they come after you, then when they are trapped cheetah run back to range, send in pet, get aimed shot going, when the aimed goes off, conc shot and keep running backwards firing arcane shots and the like. If/when they catch up to you, wing clip and run through them, keep going forward, hold down right click to quickly turn around and fire and turn back when your shots are up (experiment with this--it's really nifty), repeat until dead. Use more scattershots and ice traps at your discretion.
I hear they get kinda impossible to kill at 60. I wouldn't know.

zimnpiggie i am a warrior at lvl 32 and i mop the floor with rogues and hunter but that could soon change You probably play hunters who don't know wtf they are doing in PvP. Which is about 99% of them. Some hunters to watch me duel my warrior friend and would be like, "wow I didn't know you could do that." At 60, because of warrior sudden crazy goodness, though, I have heard hunters can't beat them anymore. Since mine will never get to 60, I will never know.

I play a PvP hunter, so I'm lucky in knowing the hunter tactics. Essentially, I eat hunters up for breakfast with my warrior. Intimidating shout, piercing howl, hamstring/improved hamstring, war stomp (ftw!) etc. It's all about keeping the hunter close and not allowing them to get range.

Hunters can win if they can keep the distance on any class. If you're up against a mana-using class, concentrate on viper sting. With the combination of them using spells against you and mana draining, they will soon be out and rendered useless.

It is easy actually, if you have Engineering, and a good Melee/Ranged weapon.
Start the duel, mark them. They will charge/stelth/whatever. In this case, get a bomb ready that has the ability to stun. Drop the son of a b***h at your feet, Wingclip, and sick your pet on them as you back up.
Concussion Shot Venom Sting Arcane Shot
If you are like me and have an axe that has a higher DPS than your bow, move in and attack. If not, ranged. If they get close, wingclip and run back. If you can, drop another explosive.
So far at a low level this is working good, even let me drop a 25 Alliance Rogue while I was at 15. (16 now).
Also, if you have Ice Trap, drop it as they stun from the bomb, then melee them and back up and let them hit in. Dont touch them and move to just the edge of your ranged and unload on them.
Also, Rogues have a tendency to sneak up on you behind. Hold down the right mouse button and you can swivel in your spot fairly quickly. Use this to your advantage. smile
EDIT: At the start, just do a Venom and Arcane shot, Save the Concussion. It has a longer cooldown rate, and if you have a good Engineering, you can make explosives that do more stun time longer than the concussion.

Well If you're playing on a pvp server it's pretty easy to beat rogues all you need to do is hit first and just keep backing up even when he gets to you he'll be weak enough that he doesn't have a hope.

My boyfriend just specced Beast Mastery with his hunter and he says he pretty much tears everyone new assholes in battlegrounds now and it takes 3 people to kill him. Some rogue sapped him twice in Tarren Mill until friends could come and kill him. surprised

okay, once I get started I'm gonna find a hunter on the alliance and kill his a**! stealth behind him and stab him in the back! then whip out a couple guns and shoot until he falls, use vanish, get behind, stab again, combo until I kill.
Hunters need to be reduced in some power, make it so only the big burly guys like Orcs and Tauren(and to a much lesser extent the Dwarves) be effective hunters, but give the pets a range as to how far they can go, like into the shallow point of that "dead zone" I heard about. the closest point between a hunter and where melee and ranged weapons are useless.
