FrostBite felt the breeze wisp through her fur. It was a peaceful evening. Nothing too exciting nor too boring was happening. FrostBite yawned, surprised she had not fallen asleep yet. FrostBite listened to the gentle ripple of a stream that was near by and the sweet, gentle melody of birds chirping. FrostBite yawned and rubbed her eyes, all this quiet was nice but a small chat with someone would be fun and wouldnt disturb the serenity at all. FrostBite flicked her ears back and forth, starting to become consumed by boredom.

From afar, Vaati already knew of the Ulaya fae's presence near the stream. The odd Ulaya was parched from his trek through the very forest he was exiting.
As it was daytime, one couldn't tell that his eyes and fur glowed with an eerie, yet vibrant chartreuse-colour. He could only hope that the Ulaya near the stream was not one that scoured for confrontation, as he was rather tired and wished only for a drink and a short rest.

Vaati was often like that any time he was in a well lit environment. He was not nocturnal, per say, but it was as though the light drained him of his energy, which is why he was rarely out in it.

The Ulaya continued on towards the stream, keeping his slitted eyes narrowed and staring ahead, ears alert, and stride a calm one.

FrostBite noticed an Ulaya walking over to the stream. FrostBite didnt want to try to be the one to start a conversation so she simply aknowledged his existance and continued her steady rythm of flicking her ears back and forth. FrostBite bit her lip, it was hard not to say anything. "Good evening," She simply said, not continuing on from there.

[This is Vaati, by the way. xD;]

Vaati blinked as he came upon the Ulaya fae closely enough to see her. His ears tilted back a bit as his eyes quickly went over her figure once, maybe taking a glance back again, before settling his cloudy eyes on her own.
Vaati was a rather sturdy, and at times stoic Ulaya, so he was not distracted by the soporific swaying of FrostBite's ears, back and forth. He has decided to be nice to her, or at least to humor her, so he let a small smile (though it was more of a smirk than anything) slip across his maw as he stared into her eyes.

"It's so bright outside though. Is it really evening time already?"

((Yar, I looked at your journal. 3nodding ))

FrostBite slowly stopped flicking her ears. She shrugged. "It is, or at least I think, I'm not exactly a person who owns a watch." FrostBite got up and sat straight, it seemed rude to be lying down while speaking. FrostBite analyzed his features for a moment, and tilted her head questioningly, she had never seen a Ulaya that glowed. "Um, may I ask why you are glowing?" FrostBite hoped she didnt sound offending in anyway, she didnt want to screw up the conversation before it even started.

Vaati blinked and his ears gave a twitch. "Eh?"
For a moment, it confused him, as he knew that it was very difficult to see that he glowed in the light of day. His smile grew the slightest bit at this, and he thought to himself that she must have sharp eyes.

"I've always been this way. I apologize for not being able to really tell you 'why' I am the way I am... I just am." He shrugged a little. "I'm not a very average Ulaya, I suppose you could say."

He decided to be truthful to her, which he did not always do. She seemed to be harmless though, so he had no fear of her knowing about him. Even if she delved more deeply than he was comfortable with, he could either tell her so or simply lie. It was simple.

However, her own markings were rather vivid themselves, so much so that it almost looked as though they were glowing as well. Perhaps that is why he had taken a bit of a liking to her- she had rather caught his fancy, he just hid it well.

"If you don't mind my asking... what are you doing all the way out here?"

"I guess thats an appropriate answer," FrostBite said. She thought for a moment. "No reason at all, I just felt like this was a nice place to be, but may I ask what are you doing here?" FrostBite fiddled with a blade of grass before smacking her forehead. "Oh yeah, how could I competely forget? My name is FrostBite." She looked down again for the grass she played with and realized she dropped the piece of grass, she frowned in dissapointment.

Vaati was a little surprised as she struck her own forehead, and so he tilted his head a bit to the side. He chuckled lightly at her look of disappointment in having dropped her blade of grass, not in a bad way, but for a reason he refused to admit to himself.

"Actually, if there were any kind of place that I am more so than others, it would be in more remote areas. I'm... not much of a socialite, I must admit. In any case, my name is Vaati. It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss FrostBite."

He allowed his eyes to scan her over again, more slowly this time, and by this time they were no longer narrowed in inspection as they were prior. The Ulaya sat back on his haunches at last, as he had gained some comfort. Maybe, soon, he would even dare to dip his muzzle into the water for a drink.

FrostBite blushed, glad her fur was black so that it couldnt be seen, or at least not very well. "Its pleasure to meet you as well, Mr Vaati," FrostBite bowed her head alittle. "And I'm sure not everyone is... a socialite." FrostBite decided to give up on her missing blade of grass and just find a new one. FrostBite pawed at the ground looking for the perfect one, she was very picky at the grass she picked. "Erm, I've always wondered this, how do you know when spring is over and summer has started when there was no flowers during the spring?"

Again, Vaati blinked at FrostBite. It was a rather random and odd question to throw out at him, and he regretted that he did not know the answer. Even though he knew that he did not know the answer, he sat and pondered at it for awhile before he replied to her.
He had not noticed her blush, since he had allowed his eyes to leave her own to look over the rest of her.

"I, erm... I'm not really sure. I am sorry. I do know that most creatures give birth to their offspring in the spring time... and that the days are longer in the summer time. Spring tends to be more rainy as well."

It was odd for him, that he felt nervous as he spoke. The Ulaya bowed his head a little, to hide his slightly nervous look as he searched his mind for why he felt so in the first place.
Since his head was bowed, he was staring into the clear stream water, and he could see her reflection in it. This only made him more nervous, as he realized that if he bent down to take a drink, it would be in the spot where her face was reflected.

"I think that everything is just calmer in the spring and in the summer everyone goes wild," She paused and decided to give up on the grass for now. "Is it summer or spring right now?" FrostBite pondered herself. She also wondered if she was being a little too chatty, afterall, people that talked too much were very annoying, and its frustrating when question after question is asked. FrostBite looked up as she wondered and stared at the clouds while trying to identify the shapes, despite liking clear skys this was a favorite hobby of hers.

Vaati had calmed down enough so that he could look up again, back at her. He was actually thankful that she was gazing at the sky, so that she was not paying attention to him or his expression. He would have let out a sigh of relief even, if it were not so conspicuous.

"I believe that it is spring right now."

A light smile crossed over his face as she identified the shapes of the clouds. He blinked and decided to quickly take this opportunity to snag a quick drink, since it was the reason he came to the stream in the first place. For a moment, he stared into the cool water before leaning over and dipping his tongue into the stream. He tried to keep his lapping at a quiet volume, as to not disturb her.

FrostBite continued staring at the sky. "Yeah, your right, its probably still spring, but starting to lean on summer." Frost heard the lapping of water but continued looking at the sky. "I wonder if the stars here are as pretty as the clouds." FrostBite looked down at the grass and felt alittle stupid at what she said, if the skys were cloudy than the stars probably wouldnt be visisble at night. FrostBite felt herself start to blush again so she continues looking down.

Vaati finished up and exhaled heavily, thankful for the cool stream water as he felt it trail down his throat, cooling his belly. There was a content smile on his face, and he felt much more at ease than he had before, even euphoric for a moment. The breeze felt wonderful as it played with his fur. He gazed upward at the clouds as they passed slowly by.

"I'm sure they are, but not as--"
He quickly stopped himself from what he was going to let himself say next. The comfort and ease he was feeling made him sluggish and careless, but he continued to allow himself to feel so calm.

"I mean, if it weren't so cloudy. Since we're so far away from civilization, they must be brilliant..."

Vaati lowered his head so that his serene eyes were on FrostBite, his content smile back on his maw.

"I guess your right," FrostBite wondered what he was about to say before but she didnt want to focus on it too much. "You said you wernt very social before, but you seem to converse just fine." FrostBite smiled, "do you think the moon will be visible toninght? I mean, its pretty difficult to hide, right?" FrostBite's mind traveled off even farther, she started to wonder what an eclipse looked like, then it even wander more. "Do you think theres any fish living in the stream?" FrostBite rubbed the back of her head shyly, she hoped she wasnt asking too many questions that she might be able to answer herself if she thought about it.
