My neighbor is like, "ohh yeah, i kin paint yer house for ya" and my mom was like, Okay!
Two weeks later, he only has the front and SOME of the trim done. his work is sloppy, and he has missed major areas. And yet he asks for money....
First time, he asked for a $20 installment so he could get his pain medication (what kind of drugs cost $20? Cigarettes).
Five days ago with only minor progress, he asks for $150.
And now, today, a situation came up and he needs more money. But hardly any progress has been made. It's been sunny all this week here, but they (him and his wife paint together) only come out around 3PM to begin painting.
Every day he has a different excuse, "Erm.. wasps?/I had to go with my wife (ALL DAY, 8AM-5PM) to get a job/we're going to visit a grandpa who's dying in jail/my kid's sick *kid is running around playing in the backround*" I've had an icky vibe about him from the start, and I don't think he's going to finish painting.

Oh, that, and he painted our mailbox TWO different colors. It looks sooo tacky. And, it's sloppy...

I agree. I f I was your mom I would be like: WTH? I am not paying you$150 when there isn't progress going on xp But then. that's me.
I wouldn't pay him either if nothing was getting done. Then again, I'd probably end up doing it myself.
