we had to put one of my kitties to sleep yesterday. We brought him to the vet 3 days ago because he was being anti-social and losing weight. normally he's at the door when you come in demanding attention. but the were trying to figure out what was wrong with him, and once they did, he took a turn for the worse, so the best thing we could to was take him out of his pain... i was wanting to take him with me when i moved out, but i can't... i feel like i want to live in a box with no windows and no doors, so that i don't have contact with anyone, and can't hurt. i've lost too many people in the past year.

When my cat died about 6 years ago, I wanted to cry forever. I loved him so much and I always have him in my memories. It did not help that my friend wished he would die and then he did.
I am very sorry that you had to lose him.
If you don't talk with people then you become lonely and sad. I know it hurts to lose someone, but the kindness of other people always help you get through it. I don't know where I would be if I did not have my friends here to help me when my Grandpa died last December. I still start crying every once in a while but people help me get though it.

thank you everyone. i'm glad my friend has needed help, otherwise i would have been wallowing even more in self-pity. she has just moved in with us. her mom pretty much told her she needed to move out. she is 4-5 months pregnant. i want to kill her mom and step-dad. but i'm sooooo glad she's out of the situation. her step-dad is very emotionally abusive. and he's hit her before. i called child-services once, got the police, the police went and investigated, and decided to include my name. i wasn't allowed to talk to her for several months. all because i wanted to look out for her. but she out of there, and i have a roommate!
