Bio: Maya's parents were full blooded wizards that fought against Voldermort some of the most well known Wizards.
Her parents were considered traitors by most Death Eathers as though they were in Slytherin and the best of the best, also good friends with Lucius Malfoy, they did not become Death Eators. Instead they battled side-by-side with Dumbledore in the Order.
Even after Voldemorts 'demise' her parents never let her believe for a moment, that he was truly gone. And though they never kept in contact with Lucius, Maya would see a very greasy looking man enter their home for tea with her father on rare accounts.

Maya stared at her parents. "Excuse me?"

"You're going to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry." said her father sternly. "I expect you to get in to Slytherin." he turned around leavung her alone with her mother.

"Now sweetheart."she said, softly. Well softly for her anyway, most people would consider it quite cold. "You'd best get to Diagon Alley."

Maya frowned. Most parents wouldn't let their children go to Diagon Alley alone, but her parents were different, it wasn't that they didn't care, in fact they cared so much they were sure she wouldn't get in to any mischief. With her bag of coins and the letter of acceptance from Hogwarts which held her requirements, she walked out of her house.

Maya was half way done. She grabbed her new robes, with Hogwarts seal embedded in them. Her parents had called the shops before hand.

Thanking the woman at the counter she walked out, only to bump in to golden haired man with a boy at his side.

She'd seen him before...

He shot her a smirk. "Well, how are we, Maya is it?"

Now she remembered.

"Hello Mr. Malfoy. I'm fine thank you."

"Where is your father?" he asked curiously.

"At home." she noticed the young boy looked awfully bored. She immediately thought he looked like a snot nosed little-

"Well, we'd better be off." said Mr. Malfoy.

"Goodbye Mr. Malfoy." she said politely and walked away.

After a few yards she stopped and turned around, she could still see them. She turned back and bumped in to a boy with dark hair and glasses.

Their noses smashed into each others.

Maya walked with her new friend, apparently, he'd yet to have his robes.

"Don't worry about it Harry, I'll help you out. Come on, let's go see the Miss."

They were next in line after the Malfoys and Mina and Maya hadn't recognized them, oddly.

"Oh, take these then." the woman handed Harry a large robe. "I'll fix it up." she took Harry by the shoulder and walked him off, but not before giving someone a call to help out Maya.

"No," she argued. "I've already a robe."

"Just one?" asked the young girl. "Why, what're you going to wear whilst it's in the wash?"

Maya, not having a decent answer, let herself be lead. She was stood on a stool next to a blond haired girl, deathly pale and skinny. Which made her brilliant green eyes stand out even more.

She immediately felt a sudden warmth and like for the girl. "Hallo." she said. "My name's Maya."

She looked surprised. "Hello, I'm Mina Finn."

"Would you stop moving about Miss Pearl?"

Maya gave a bashful smile. "Are you starting Hogwarts?"

"Yes." she said slowly. "Are you?"

Maya nodded. "Both my parents were in Slytherin, so I'm also expected to get in there. But I'm not quite sure, I've read of the traits most Slytherins need and I'm not so sure I have them.. I'd probably be best of in Hufflepuff. What about you?"

Mina thought for a while. "I'd like to get in to Slytherin."

Maya felt a tad little indignant on Mina's behalf but kept quiet during the conversation.

"Sir, with all due respect," she said, coughing. "Harry and I've a lot of supplies to get."

Lucius gave her a long hard look. "I see," he said softly. "Made quick friends with the important one have we? I see you do take after your father more then your-" his tone softened. "Mother."

Maya said nothing, she could feel all eyes on her. She kept her head bowed, more out of habit then any sort of respect.

"Well, let her go on." said Draco's mother snobbishly. "We must get Draco and of course Mina, their supplies."

"Talk about stuck up." said Harry. "But still I'd prefer them to the Dursleys."

"The who?" asked Maya as they went to get their books.

Maya glared at him.

"Well, you do.."

"No I don't."

"Yes, yes, you do..."

"No I do not." she snapped, shutting up the young man at the desk.

She'd wanted an owl. He'd told her she wanted a toad. In which case she'd argued.

Then he'd suggested she take both.

Mean while Harry took Hedwig from Hagrid and thanked him, grateful.

"What do you want one like that for?" asked the young man when Maya asked for a boy owl.

"Because," Maya gritted her teeth. "They travel quicker."

"Yeah, but then your mate over there, he has an owl, righ'? What if they get together and get busy? Then you two will have to get together an-"

"Enough of that James." said an old man. Walking out. "Just give the girl her owl, you two have been at it for the better part of fifteen minutes."

"So," Hagrid gave Harry his ticket. "Catch this train, mind you don' be late! It was a joy meetin' ya Maya."

Maya smiled. "It was nice meeting you Hagrid."

"Well, I'd best be off. Take care yew two!"

"Thanks for letting me stay at your house Maya." said Harry, as they made their way out of Diagon Alley, after collecting theirs books and wands.

"It's OK, we've a lot of spare rooms," she stopped and turned to her right. "Well, here we are."

Harry's jaw dropped. "House? It's more like a mansion."

"Some on" Maya grinned. "I'll introduce to my parents."

They went inside and Harry was reminded of a scary movie he'd watched long time ago, when the Durleys were out one day. It started with two people- Girl and Boy- Friends, walking in to a big house((He couldn't remember how they'd got there, it was years ago.)) and ended with the girl dying and the boy left, turning in to some undead creature of the night.

He gulped.

"Mom, dad! I'm back, and I've brought a friend."

They heard a female voice, "My God Maya, how many times have we told- Is that Harry Potter?"She was staring at the scar on his forehead and Harry immediately knew she was Maya's mother.

He felt himself go red.

"What is it now?" snapped a male voice. A man came out, barely in his 30's, his dark hair falling neatly in to his yet darker eyes. He was dressed in a wizard robe, long and dark.

Harry felt uncomfortably aware of his ragged, clothes. All handed down from the Dursleys after Dudley was done with them.

"Harry Potter..." he said softly. His voice was dangerously soft. "The boy who lived, what an honor..."

Harry looked up at him and regretted it. That look in his eyes... It was inhuman. So cold, ruthless, believing themselves above all, so.. Snakelike.

"Dad, Harry hasn't got anywhere to stay. Is it OK, if he stays here until tomorrow? He's going to Hogwarts too."

Harry could hear the uneasiness in Maya's voice. Out of the corner of his eye, she saw her shudder.

"Of course he may." said Maya's mother quickly. "Show him to the Guest Room Maya, dinner is almost done."
