One of the things that always pops into my head when thinking about Rome is the professional public speakers or Ars Oratoria. It has both a Roman and Greek importance...I just thought there might be a way to incorporate it. The Attics, Cicero and Cato need to have a say...
considering that was their profession it would be ironic for them not to.

Lizzy, I am not entirely sure what you are talking about... are you talking about rhetorics? and the grammatica?

Hmm, how about a forum for everything Greek and Roman that isn't literature? Say...for historical texts, and books (as in, books on the subject by historians rather than just primary sources).

Well, there's a whole lot of things about Roman culture that's rather interesting. A bunch of trivia stuff too, and geography, and all that stuff.
Knowing the people of ancient Rome is always good..

How about movies and television series about the ancient world? I'd try and make a list of when specials were on say National Geographic or History/Discovery!
Perhaps a Spartacus movie review!

I'm too lazy (and poor) to go to the movies so I torrented it. Yeah, it's fun, but I think they could have done well enough without the mutants...or the ninja Persians, although, they had a viable excuse for them (filed teeth) so I didn't mind those so much. ninja
...I think the historical innaccuracy that annoyed me the most was the ******** piercings all over the body that the Persians had just due to how ******** GROSS it looked. gonk

Hercules has got to be the most inaccurate.
I count errors everytime I watch it.."and that's the gospel truth."
