So I've been having a discussion with some of my friends and we've been trying to explain the funny feeling we get when we read or look at yaoi. We want to know other people's decriptions.
I'll give you what we came up with. It kinda feels like butterflies or twists and knots in your stomach.
So anyone else feel like sharing their descriptions of this funny feeling?

  Me, too. Sometimes it's a tingling feeling in my skin (my yaoi senses are tingling!) and if it's shounen-ai or june then it's probably accompanied by a warm fuzzy feeling in my heart, too. 3nodding

I agree. I get a kinda tingling feeling and in my head I am think:
"Awww, that is so cute/adorable/insert-adj-here."
I don't really know why though, I just do.
It is heartwarming, too, like you said NatsuNoYuki.
And, YAY, it's not just me... not that it would be but... #_#

It's unique and tht's what I was looking for, different kinds of descriptions. Wow! I wasn't expectig anyone to respond to this. I thought people would find it weird.

I feel like I have to get up and leave(or just move around). Almost like I'm intruding on something private. Sometimes I feel like my stomach is twisting or that I'm up on stage in front of a ton of people.
Do you know how good it feels to know that other people feel the same way? (*Phew* I thought I was alone over here.)

I feel like I have to get up and leave(or just move around). Almost like I'm intruding on something private. Sometimes I feel like my stomach is twisting or that I'm up on stage in front of a ton of people.
Do you know how good it feels to know that other people feel the same way? (*Phew* I thought I was alone over here.) That's also why I put this thread up. I disovered that my friends felt that and we were thankful not to be alone. So this kinda is also a way to show that we aren't the only ones. Somene just needed to be the first person to bring it up n_n

Hmm..it's kind of a funny feeling. I mean,when it's shonen-ai, I get this warm fuzzy feeling in my heart. Now when it's yaoi, I really can't explain the feeling.
It IS kind of like a butterfly feeling. o.o

I only had my two friends that I could talk to about yaoi until I joined my two yaoi guilds. (And went to a Con) it's nice to talk to people about different views on the series or game that you like.

But in all seriousness, I get that romantic girly feeling. Like the kind you would get when you were five and would watch Cinderella/Lil' Mermaid/etc.

It hurts in my whole body.
It starts in the arms and stomach, goes into my chest and then the whole body.
Like, seriously in pain.
At the same time, I'm usually sqee-ing and swooning, and get all giddy.
Or... I'm crying. I cry all the time.

I just get a really odd headache but it really doesn't hurt at all, if anything it relaxes me more. After a stressful day it is all i need. Of course I get really embrassed for some dumb reason but hey...
