OMG YOU GUYS!

Translation of the story about Roxas in the ORG.XIII from the KHII Final Mix+ Another Report

*I fixed it up a bit so it is kind of 'readable' for you guys...and makes more sense*
XD

Roxas
----Somewhere in Time

As he woke up with a foggy mind, his vision slowly began to clear. In the dream he just had, the world was blurry, and within a narrow space inside that world, there was also a castle that was a blur. To Roxas, it felt so blurry that it was no different from being inside the dream.

He had dreamt of this place many times. However, he couldn’t remember much of the dream. There was what seemed to be a lingering pleasant feeling, as well as a terrible feeling. Whatever it was, the only thing he remembered was that he had been having this dream every night. Even when he was so busy that he could have forgotten everything, that piece of memory still remained.

Because of the dream, he had a lack of sleep and that caused his head to feel heavy. As he sat up from his bed, he was shocked by another face over his and he got up hastily by reflex.

“Ouch—”

As a result, their heads banged together. The red-haired man on the receiving end rubbed his injured forehead. In an exasperated tone, Roxas said:

“I’ve told you before to not put your face in front of me like that, Axel!”

“Not even an apology!?”

The red-haired man—Axel, his voice twisted in a weird way as he stood straight up and peered down at Roxas, who was sitting on the bed.

“No. You’re at fault!”

“Is that the way to treat a close friend who just returned from a mission that went on for a long period of time?”

“I don’t remember becoming close friends with you.” Roxas replied getting up off the bed. Ignoring Axel, he changed into his black coat, his back facing Axel.

Close friends, or so Axel claimed. However, it was just a play that mimicked the relationship between humans. This relationship shouldn't exist among Nobodies who have no hearts. Within the Organization however, Roxas and Axel were exceptionally intimate—no, the other members did not have any intimate complications, and thus their relationship was incomprehensible.

“So, what do you want?” Roxas asked while he changed into his black coat.

“Xemnas calls.” Axel answered as he sat down on Roxas's bed.

“What about Maluxia and the others?” Roxas inquired as he turned to face Axel whose eyebrows furrowed slightly, “Didn’t they come back along with you?”

Axel slowly raised his head to Roxas's question and saw Roxas standing quite still. Feeling uncomfortable under Axel's gaze, Roxas looked away as he could tell that something was wrong through the look in Axel’s eyes.

A place called Castle Oblivion was where Axel handled his mission for several months. Apart from Axel and Marluxia, the leader, some other members from the Organization have entered the castle too. The Organization did secret research in a special castle with several connecting white rooms. However, Roxas did not know about the research content, and neither did he have any intentions of knowing. But if Axel has returned from Castle Oblivion, did something happen?

“Anyway, we’ll just have to go to Xemnas, right?”

“Yup.”

Axel answered back as he got up from the bed and stretched widely before walking over to Roxas and swung his arm over his shoulder.

“After this is over, let’s go to Twilight Town and have some sea salt ice cream.”

“Not a bad idea.”

Roxas looked up at Axel who stood right beside him, and smiled mildly.

Eating sea salt ice cream in that town—wasn't such a bad idea.

****

Sitting on a cold marble chair, Roxas listened to Xemnas's words. He was talking about how Marluxia and five other members of the Organization have disappeared within Castle Oblivion in the presence of a Keyblade Master.

“So you mean that we will have to stop the Keyblade Master!?” asked Xaldin clasping his hands together.

“It’s a pain to have Namine taken away. How do you intend to take this responsibility, Axel?” Saix questioned.

"I didn't even know whether I'd be struck down…I just desperately had to escape! Am I supposed to take responsibility for that!?” Axel retorted.

“That’s enough. How about we ask our Keyblade Master for his opinion?”

Xigbar looked over at Roxas.

“Nothing much...”

There were no opinions. Keyblade – the Key to the World.

Like the other Keyblade Masters, Roxas had the special ability to wield the Keyblade, but that was all—nothing more, nothing less. Although he had nowhere else to go to except where the Organization was, he was unaware that he wanted to retrieve his lost heart.

“Sora”

The name Xigbar suddenly muttered caught Roxas's attention.

Sora?

I feel like I’ve heard this name somewhere before…

“What’s that mean?” Demyx asked.

“Hmhm... I see. So you don’t know anything about it.”

As Xigbar sniggered, Saix, who was right beside him, sighed. Axel’s eyebrows furrowed and Demyx tilted his head. Luxord, Xaldin and Xemnas's faces remained expressionless.

There were mixed reactions from each of them.

“While the Keyblade Master is asleep, our plan will not be affected. We must proceed no matter what.”

Xigbar’s words marked the end of the discussion he started, allowing Xemnas to continue.

“Axel—accompany Roxas to Hollow Bastion. There seems to be something happening around the Keyhole.”

“Hey, I just came back not long ago!!!” Axel protested against Xemnas.

“That will make up for letting Namine escape.”

With that, Xemnas disappeared.

****

With Hollow Bastion as their destination, Roxas and Axel walked through the interim of darkness. Every Organization member had the ability to travel to all places of the world by opening and travelling through corridors of darkness.

"Damn… I'm supposed to be resting."

While Axel was complaining incessantly, Roxas followed behind with his hood over his head.

Sora… the Keyblade… something bothers me.

"After this is over, we will have sea salt ice cream like we did last time, Roxas! Got it memorized?"

Axel turned back to look at Roxas, who caught up with him.

“…Sora.”

Upon hearing what Roxas murmured, Axel grimaced.

"Hey, don't mind what Xigbar said."

"It's not about whether I mind it… It's just that I feel like it's leading me."

Upon hearing what Roxas said, Axel stopped in his tracks.

"Axel… you know Sora, right?"

For a short while, Axel was dumbfounded and troubled by Roxas's question. Scratching his head in slight frustration, he peeped at Roxas.

"I don't know, but even if I did I wouldn't tell you."

“Why?”

“…You don't need to know, that's why.”

Axel answered with his back facing Roxas. There was no need for Roxas to know his relationship with Sora… No, he didn't want to let him know.

The special Nobody, Roxas…and the Keyblade Master.

Would he be able to get past Xemnas by lying?

And Roxas too?

"Axel!"

"What?"

On hearing Roxas's harsh tone, Axel turned back to look at him.

"I wanna know."

"Know what?"

“…I don’t know.”

Once again, Roxas looked down.

He wasn't anything…he knew nothing. It felt like there was something happening to a part of himself, a part he didn't know— It felt horrible.

"What did the Organization exist for?"

"To get a heart." Axel answered without hesitation, like he was prepared for the question a long time ago. However, Roxas kept his head lowered.

"Hey, there's no point thinking about this—let's go. Sea Salt ice cream is waiting for us."

Axel placed his hand on Roxas' shoulder and looked ahead.

Right before them, the darkness connected to Hollow Bastion opened up.

****

In the deteriorating castle, Roxas and Axel walked.

"I wonder what's in this place." Axel muttered, and then the atmosphere seemed to be changing.

“…It's the Heartless.”

With two keyblades appearing in Roxas’s hands, it seemed like a signal for simultaneous hordes of Heartless to form, and surround the two.

“This is troublesome.”

As the both of them stood back to back, two chakrams appeared in Axel's hands.

"The duty isn't supposed to be some kind of suppression, is it?"

“Who knows!”

Answering Axel with a shout, Roxas leapt up and swung the keyblades, sending a slash. Impressed, Axel whistled:

“You go, Roxas!”

“Quit chattering and move it!”

“Yes, yes…”

Axel also dashed towards the crowd of Heartless. As the both of them were working together, they didn't need that much time to wipe out the Heartless. Before long, the castle was back to its quiet state. They didn't sense anything else from within the castle.

"So this really is the mission?"

As Axel tilted his head, the sound of a bird flapping it's wings came from above his head.

"What's that?"

Roxas looked up and saw a bird cage dangling. It seemed like the sound was coming from that.

“Let it escape?”

Roxas nodded his no, and Axel took action as he hurled his chakram at the bird cage, causing it to fall. From the fallen bird cage, a crow flew out.

"Let's go back, shall we?"

"…Yeah."

Putting the crow at the back of his mind, Axel looked at Roxas as he stared at the broken bird cage motionlessly. It felt like there was something unfinished…

****

In Twilight Town, the sun began to set. From afar, they could hear the sounds of children playing. After buying two sticks of sea salt ice cream, the two started strolling towards the station.

"We're heading there, right?"

"Yup!"

Roxas nodded his head yes and gnawed on his ice cream.

"Don't eat it first, Roxas!" complained Axel. At that moment, a rolling ball struck Roxas's foot.

"Sorry--!"

A lone boy ran up to them.

"Oh Hayner!"

From behind, a girl also ran up to them, followed by a slightly plump boy. Roxas picked up the ball at his feet, and threw it to them. The three people bowed their heads in apology before they ran off with the ball.

"—wonder if they're the same age"

"Huh?"

Although Axel didn't hear what Roxas murmured, he replied anyway.

"It's nothing."

Roxas shook his head slightly and started walking. A pigeon which lived somewhere in front was flying away, and Roxas turned to look at it.

The castle where the Organization lived felt like a bird cage. He who didn't know anything just passed his days at the castle like it was the most suitable thing to do.

That's right—I wasn't informed of anything.

Can I really be here?

"Quit dazing and sit down!"

"Erh… Yeah, Sure."

Where the two sat was the balcony of the clock tower that was on top of Twilight Town Station. From there, it was possible to overlook the whole town. This was where Roxas and Axel first met and ate sea salt ice cream, and thus it was a special place to them.

"The ice cream, it's gonna melt."

On hearing Axel, Roxas panicked as he shoved the ice cream into his mouth.

"That was a mission I don't understand."

"Yeah…"

Roxas looked down.

"I wonder what was with that crow."

"Yeah…"

Noticing that Roxas wasn't really paying attention and answering him ambiguously, Axel sighed loudly.

"Don't tell me you're mind id still on what Xigbar said?"

"Not really...."

Almost touching Roxas's nose, a pigeon flew past him.

"I wonder if it's fun flying in such a wind?"

"—Probably."

Axel answered as he chewed the ice cream.

"Until when is it fine for me to keep doing what I do?"

Axel stared at Roxas when he said that. Roxas must have felt that he was repeating the same mission everyday. And in fact, the mission he was given everyday was the same; it was just suppression of more of the same Heartless. However, Axel felt that there could have been no other way. Roxas was special—very much so to the Organization, and also to Axel. Just like the Organization, Axel also didn't feel the need to let Roxas know.

Is this a form of betrayal to Roxas?

"Maybe we can't be together forever." Axel murmured

"Huh?" Roxas looked at him, "What? Don't make such a scary face."

Axel turned his face away from Roxas as he chewed on his ice cream. Roxas didn't know about Axel's insecurity. Likewise, Axel didn't know about Roxas's insecurity.

"—Can't be forever, huh...." Roxas murmured.

"Memories… Not sure if there are too many or what…" said Axel as he laughed.

"What's up with that?" Roxas laughed as well.

If they didn't have a heart in the first place, could memories exist?

"Nothing, just 'cause."

Just because—

Just because, Roxas felt that he was going somewhere else, and although he wasn't supposed to have a heart, deep inside, he kept thinking of Axel.

"Memories, huh…"

Roxas murmured as he looked at the sunset. Right beside him, Axel took one bite of his ice cream, and looked at the very same sunset Roxas was looking at.

Is this from the novel? Cause if it is, then its canon. And if its canon, then Axel and Roxas are breaking Man Laws and are so gay for each other. XD
