The room was dark as she sat in her chair by the window. Only the light emitting from the moon was the only light inside. She looked out her window to the starry sky, leaning on the sill, wondering what she had done wrong to deserve such loneliness. She moved her eyes upward, keeping her chin on her hands. A shooting star had just passed. Oh, she thought, I should make a wish... She closed her eyes tightly and wished for someone to come into her life. She knew wishing on stars was overrated, and it'll most likely never come true, but it was worth a try.
Setting: A small apartment on the edge of town. A sign outside sporting the words "Roommate wanted". Could this be what she was looking for?

Quietly walks up to the door and knocks.

Hearing a faint knock, she looked in the direction of the door. Slowly, she picked herself up from the chair and headed in the direction of the door. Arriving there, she looked through the peep hole and deciding she hadn't made a phone call for a delivery, so she assumed he was someone looking for a place to stay. "At this time of night, people should be in their homes sleeping!" she concluded, as she spoke softly to herself. But after hearing herself say those words, she thought that maybe this gentleman didn't have a home and was in desperate need of one. She opened the door.

Suddenly feeling nervous I smile, thinking that I had woken you up. "Im sorry to have disturbed you, Iwas walking around and I saw your house. So I decided to stop by and see if I could shelter here for the night?" once again feeling nervous I smile weakly

She looked at the man for a second without saying a word. "I guess," she sighed. "Come in, make yourself comfortable."
