So we're now under the impression that no one on the island can get sick (with the exception of Ben), and on top of that, people who come to the island are mysteriously healed.
So why were the Dharma folks injecting themselves daily?
And how did Rosseau's crew (or Rosseau herself) get sick?
Of course, how did Ben manage to get sick? (Though I love Locke's take on it)
And finally, why do all pregnant women get sick and die?
Any thoughts or ideas?

Well, in one chapter Desmond says that all is a lie, that there is no sickness, that he injected himself with the medicine(the one charlie gaves ti claire)later we saw how Kelvin tricks him, so he wouldn´t get out of the hatch. Altough probably that thing about pregnant women always dying may be the sickness. Also I remeber that in the Sri Lanka Video, Mittlewerk says something about some medicine sent to an island that actaully is some kind of virus, that probably a lot will die, but it is worth if they discover hoiw to improve life. And in the blast door map it is said in latin:
Aegresit medendo, wich in english means:
the disease worsens with the treatment
The remedy is worst than the desease
all these takes me to...who knows?, i guess it is one of the misteries of the island that hadn´t been explored so much.

I forgot one thing sweatdrop , Juliet, the one form the others, was making a research of fertility with her sister wich was sick but finally she gets pregned, she injected something to her sister, probably she was taken to the island to help the others, even against her will, to help their women get pregned. emo

But Rousseau claimed that all of her team got sick, and I doubt that the entire team was compsed of pregnant women.
And yes, Desmond did say it was all a lie, but how would he really know? He wasn't sent by Dharma, he got there by accident (or because the island wanted him). Kelvin injected himself every day too...
But anyways, what is this Sri Lanka video? And the Latin on the blast doors is very interesting, thank you!

[.Wands.and.Wings.] the whole pregnancy death thing was a very strange twist i thought lol but really interesting .. and i am nodding with the above comments lol xx The only connection to pregnant women dying on the island is Ben so far (true he wasn't concived or born on the island but his mother died during labour). Also Roseau was fine after having her baby (Alex). This suggests they lied about Claire showing syptoms of what killed the other women.
