This is the chamber where the Cornerstone is located. The power of the Cornerstone is currently not working.

Riku and Mickey ran up to the Cornerstone and got it back on it's pedistal, but the darkness didn't go away and Riku looked down at the king "What should we do?" he said
Mickey frowned and continued to stare at the cornerstone "I don't know. This has never happened before" he replied

As the last energy faded from the cornerstone, the light dimmed. The air grew heavier, and the shadows swelled and seeped. Then the darkness crashed in and consumed the cornerstone. Darkness crashed in from all directions, and Mickey and Riku were gone. All that was left was hall pulsing with darkness.

Ifrit walked through the mirror portal and stepped onto the black floor of the hall of the cornerstone or what used to be it. "It's a completely differrent castle, the darkness has changed it. Are you sure it is still here Ignos?" 'Yes it is still here...I give to one of King Mickey's servants to hide here until it is needed, and now it is needed and you shall use it.' Ifrit looked down at the Golden Fleece Armguard on his right arm, it shined a gold aura from it even without light. "Well it's time to start looking then...", since it was a different castle, it would take awhile before Ifrit could find the item he was looking for but perhaps he could restore some light to the castle by freeing some of the cornerstone from the darkness. Ifrit approached the end of the hallway, "Now how should I do this?"

Kadaj entered the darkened room, followed by the girl. He stopped in front of where he knew the Cornerstone was, tho it couldn't barely be seen through the darkness "It's here" he called into the darkness behind him
The girl followed closely behind Kadaj. She tried to push some light energy from her body out to light the room, but the darkness remained completely "I can't get rid of this darkness. It's not working" she said
Kadaj let out a deep sigh "For this, I am sure we will have to focus the energy directly into the cornerstone" he called out to her and the others that would have followed

Xemnas clapped his hands as he walked down the stairs. "Well done Kadaj. It seems you have even been able to disuade our new friend to join your side. Now, I think it's about time we finished this. Don't you Wesker?"
Wesker stood there quietly taking off his sunglasses to see better. The red glare of his eyes shone through the darkness.

Ifrit appeared from the throne room behind Kadaj and the girl, "I'm afraid I can't allow you to get in the way Xemnas...", Ifrit was hidden by the darkness until he used the light energy through the Soul Reaver, "The cornerstone must be restored..."
Deimos appeared next to Ifrit, the light energy coursing through the gaunlets slowly, "He's right...", he looked to Ifrit, "Do you have control of this?"
Ifrit looked at him, "If I need any help I'll call..."

"The world of light has come to an end. The fact that the cornerstone has failed is a testament to that." His hand turns into a red saber. "If you shall stand in my way. You will die."
Nelda walked down the steps, Soul Edge trailing behind him, making a clunk sound every time it went down a step. His left hand was on the wall. "Well, well. Look what the cat dragged in. It's a whole family reunion." He stopped on the floor. Bringing Soul Edge to his side. The eye looking feverently at it's next meal. "It seems Soul Edge is Hungry. And you will be the perfect feast."

"restore the cornerstone" Kadaj said quietly to his allies and he placed his hand against the side of the giant orb and pushed the light energy through it
The girl also did the same as Kadaj, focusing the light energy within her into the orb and it began to glow with light as the darkness within and around it began to vanish

Deimos placed both hands of the orb and sent the light energy into it, he looked back at Ifrit who extended his hand towards the cornerstone and shot a beam of light into it.
Ifrit kept the Soul Reaver pointed towards his enemies, "Your Soul Edge won't be feeding on anything...For it shall clash against the most darkness weapon of all...The Soul Reaver", he finished off sending light to the cornerstone and prepared for battle, "The world of light will never come to an end, this is only a recession and when the curtain of darkness lifts away it will end..."

As they all put their energy into the cornerstone, the most brilliant of light errupted from it, blasting any and all darkness within the castle away. There was a calm glow floating in the castle now.
Another flash of light appeared directly beside the cornerstone and King Mickey stood there now "Looks like you restored the cornerstone. I can't thank you enough" he said in his high voice
The girl smiled and turned her attention to Xemnas "Why are you here? What are your intentions"

Ifrit smiled when he saw King Mickey had returned, "Glad you are back...It was hard trying to track you...", he turned his eyes back t Xemnas, "His intentions mean nothing...He is powerless here..."

Xemnas smiled. "That is true Kadaj. I control what's in the middle of both light and dark. Twilight." Xemnas turned to mickey. "Most gracious King Mickey, you have returned. I have no quarrel with you now that the corner stone has been restored. Besides, the odds are just about two to one. No need to start a fight I know is not worth fighting." He turns and walks to the stairs. "If you want answers, girl. You will not find them with us anymore. You are a lost cause now." with that he walked up the steps.
Wesker put his shades back on now that the light returned. He pointed a finger at Ifrit and made a shooting gesture. "Bang." He followed up after Xemnas.
Soul edge disappeared as Nelda looked at the girl. "Its a pity. I was looking forward to working with you too, but that's life. You get what it gives you and not a dollar more." He followed Wesker and Xemnas. Waving to the girl as he went up the stairs.

"Yeah, I'd rather stick with those who aren't cowards" the girl called to them as they headed up the stairs "And no cause is lost as long as there is somebody willing to work towards it"
