Can those who actually think social injustice is what Jesus was sent on this earth to correct - can they be right? Social injustice?
Give me a break! Next they'll say he was put on earth to save the whales. Compared to sin, hell and death, and overcoming same, saving whales, hugging trees, and beating down white folks seems wayyyy down on God's priority list. In the social progressive bible, perhaps it reads:
"And the apostles, noticing that some of the new believers were both educated and wealthy, didst conspire to make the converts feel guilty about their status. "For," they reasoned amongst themselves, "surely God would want us to have blessings more than these converts, as we have been here from the beginning." And they taxed the stuffing out of the converts.
Curse you, Satan! Believing themselves to be wise, they became foolish, and took over our schools and our media, portraying the things of the Gospel as foolish and their own agendas as wise...
**my lingering political correctness compels me to state that I am unemployed and have never made above the poverty line in my life. I am not a rich person defending her wealth. I live in a hovel. The internet is my sole luxury. And I do NOT believe redistribution of wealth through taxation and social programs is Godly. Quite the opposite.

MangaTurtle and it only gets worse as the end times get closer. sometimes i wish Jesus had said, "Blessed by the Gun owners, for the shall blast the lights out of the idiots." Ha, ha. If only. I would be beating someone up every day and twice on Sundays. domokun But we're not Islamic, so violence is not an option. I'm not even sure which are farther from reality, or if they are all the same - Liberal Christians with their weak theology, or liberal agnostics/atheists with their weak...minds. Accepting Christ is the most important thing, but then again He said "I would rather you be hot or cold. If you are lukewarm, I will spit you out." So it's better to be an atheist than a tepid Christian.

I know people are probably tired of 'governator' jokes by now, but does anyone else find it vaguely amusing, or at least ironic, that the state that elected the Terminator is so against gun ownership?
sweatdrop It had to be said.
Are you going to get a CCW permit then?

Well, we can all pretty much agree that Jesus wants us to be good people.
And saving whales is a good thing to do.
So I guess I can kinda see the logic in that... Though they should be content to just save whales for the sake of saving whales and not using religion to make themselves sound more devout, if that makes any sense.

Sorry, I couldn't resist sweatdrop

That pic rofl
EDIT sad half a day later)
Jesus did not come down from Heaven just so we could be better people. He didn't die just so that we could have a good common welfare and make sure everyone got fed. Those are side effects of obeying God. If we (all people) followed the rules, which apparently we come prepackaged with (Romans 2:15), as shown by similar rules everywhere, then all of that social benefit stuff would appear. Making it the goal is stupid. It's not designed that way, no matter how nice it sounds.

Ugh. I hate that. It's like they have some stupid Robin Hood complex.
Robin Hood died from being shot.
And that's how they're going to end up eventually. mad
