get specialists with attack to wipe them out quickly and try to level up your characters. theres no real strategy to this, but to kill them as fast as possible. focus on one at a time, because when a samurai gets low in HP, its just going to crit you, and thats no fun.

Each Items have there own Levels, like characters, but can only go up to 100 (i think). Now in most items, there are things called Specialists which live in these items. Each specialist have stat changing abilities, like Gladiator gives you strength, but first you should know where to find em. Click on your item. you can see that each items stats may vary which is due to things like levels, rarity, and Specialists. i think you click the square button to view the specialists in your item. It would say the type of specialist in that item and what level in the item world its on (dont quote me on that, but it could mean its level). When you find the item you want to be leveled, or the specialists you want, go to the item world person ( the thief in disgaea 2) and talk to her. BEFORE YOU ENTER THE ITEM WORLD BRING A MR. GENCY EXIT!!!! It allows you to leave the world in case you case you know you cant win. Now go into the item world by choosing that item. Remember that you cannot have that item equipped nor have it in your bank. You must have it in your inventory. Before going in, you should look at the level of the Residence, thats what the level of the monsters will be at. Be sure you can take them on. Once you're in the item world you have two choices: Kill everything on the map OR go through the Dimensional warp. either of which takes you to a new stage. Getting to the tenth stage will allow you to leave the item world.

When you find the specialist, he will say 'Check' at the beginning of the battle. What you need to do is "subdue" him. Basically that just the nice word for killing him. Once you kill him just exit the item world. Now youll notice your Weapon grows stronger because of leveling the item, and getting the specialists. all stat changes are permanent.

when you wish to bring one of your specialists into a different item, go to move residents. choose the item with the specialist you wish to be moved and then the item you wish to have the specialist. then just choose the specialist. You can also combine specialists to make room for more, or to have them become stronger. select combine residence from the item world menu and then select the item with the specialists you want to become combined. Know that when a subdued specialist and a non subdued combined, it becomes non subdued.

Subdued + subdued = subdued
subdued + non subdued = non subdued
non subdued + non subdued = non subdued

Non subdued specialists will not boost your items (if it does then its insignificant, like one or two)
