Whoa, seriously? I don't even start until...really, August or something. I'm really excited and nervous about it because we're going to Indy for Grand Nationals this year! [We only get to do this every three years, so it's kinda special for our band. And most of us only get to do it once [except seniors and incoming freshman, which hopefully includes my sister].

Marching pratice has begun for Memorial Day at our school. But then we're back to concert until 4th of July. crying

Hehe I picked the last one...but YESS!! I MISS IT SO MUCH!! It's been driving me crazy. I'm starting to have marching withdrawal....I'm practicing marching around my house...and I'm playing last season's show XD. The closest thing I have to look forward to is the 8th graders coming at the end of the month for 3 days afterschool to do "fundamentals"(but its really just goofing around). Then I have to wait until August. crying

We've just started preparing for parades
then I have a steady flow of volentary practices until band camp in August.

We already had our drum major auditions in March. Guard try-outs was a week ago.
Currently we are auditioning for chairs for marching season and which bands we'll be in all year next year. Music camp starts the 28th, and Guard has rookie camp from June 4th until June 9th.
Then we all take an intermission until band camp picks back up in the last week of July. Then we won't stop until December. cool

Of course. I'm taking my sister to her first high school band practice at the end of this month where she will start learning music for their show. I miss high school marching band. College isn't nearly as exciting.

heart I totally miss marching season. Concert Band percussion doesn't have much to do so it's sooo boring and we get in loads of trouble.

I do miss marching season...though, it'll start up soon for my band. Right now my band is going through drum major tryouts [and man, I'm so nervous since I'm one of five or less trying out gonk ]. The official season will begin at the end of June.

I miss marching season and all of the crazy stuff that happens during it. I miss the football games every Friday and the competitions on Saturday. The parades for homecoming and to see hundreds of people when we march down the hill... It's not very much longer till it starts up agin. ^_^

I miss it too! bus rides to taco bell, cadance, 2.5mi perades, memorizing awesome music, the numbing feeling you get in your stiff fingers as sweat poors off your neck. gosh its all good. I"m going to do a band booster thing tomarrow and it will only make me yern for it more! crying
