So, pets. Anybody have them? i've got a bunch myself... three lizards (Phalchorokku, goes by Rokku, the bearded dragon, and Loki and Ginger the leopard geckos), three fish (Bob the black moor, Lightbulb the orinoco or something, he's a fancy goldfish but damn stupid, as is Bob, and Riff Raff the koi), and a dog-thing named Maggie, which is small and white and stupid as well. Thing doesn't even know her own name. Rokku is by far the most interesting of these. But i need a shower now, so i will post more about him later.

I've been petless for two years or so. Now for the sad part. razz We hads to put me old kitty to sleep 'cause he had a tumor obstructing airflow to his lungs. He was a really cool cat.
I want a new one, but there'd be no one home to take care of it in a few months, so we abstain from it, unfortunately.

Anyways, about Rokku...
His full name, Phalchorokku, is a combination of Phalchor, an altered spelling of Falkor, the white luckdragon from The Neverending Story, and okku, which is an ancient Sanskrit word meaning white. However, the name got shortened to Rokku, which is the Japanese word for Rock 'n' Roll. This fits him much better, as he thinks he is a rock star... specifically, Freddie Mercury! i'm dead serious. This lizard channels Freddie. It's frightening sometimes, when he bobs his head in time to Bohemian Rhapsody or hides his head at Paul Rodgers taking Freddie's spot at the mic. Also, the lizard plays the piano. i have an electronic keyboard with keys that go down very easily, and he runs across them and makes noise. So far, all he can do is glissandos, but when he gets bigger, maybe he'll improve?

i put this piece of yarn on his head earlier. He decided he didn't want it there.

Rokku is so cute! 4laugh
I have a zoo at my house. We're up to 12 and about 20 fish right now. We've had more at one time before.
We have...
4 dogs ~ Charlie, German Shepherd mix, Trixie & Bridgett, Pomeranians, and Sophie, a Beagle mix.
3 cats ~ Blacky, Whitey, Cow. can you guess what colors they are?
2 ducks ~ Bea, a Pekin/Mallard mix, and her half sister Perry, a Sweedish/Pekin mix. Perry has had a historectomi and has a chunk bitten off her beak from racoons. I hatched them both.
1 turtle ~ Chimina, a red eared something.
2 rabbits ~ Hans and Funny Bunny.
Other types of animals we've had are Hedghogs, chamelion, mice, gerbles, birds, frogs, and crabs.

Man, Ariel, you must live on a farm or something. I have a friend who has a lot of animals like you, but not THAT many! xd Oh, and I had a stupid dog named Charlie once. Bleedin' idiot dog... razz Holy crap! You have cats named Blackey and Whitey! My PARENTS had cats named that!! xd
And... wouldn't the Japanese term for Rock n' Roll be "Rakku"? I'm not really familiar with the term they use myself, but it just seems to me that the "ra" sounds a bit more like 'rock' than "ro". Oh well, doesn't matter. Good for that lizard. razz

My Japanese teacher told me it was "rokku" when we had to write little introductory essays and i mentioned him. She got all excited because it was a Japanese name. Coincidentally, roku with one k is six.

I don't live on a farm. I just have a big yard and neighbors who can tollerate us. 3nodding Fandango, can you post a vid of Rokku dancing to Bohemian Rhapsody!?

Well, I have a 45 lb. cat. He lives with my grandma in Colorado right now since we can't have pets in this place. He's awesome though; 18 years old, black, etc. Mickey Mouse is his name. <3
And I have two hamsters here. Bing, a cream and white fat sonofabitch who won't stop fighting with Danny, a grey and white skinny little thing. In face, they're fighting at this very moment.
I have a habit of feeding stray cats... they always come back, so I end up naming them, my mom gets pissed and calls the pound, and then the cycle just repeats itself. xd

I lost my dear kitty a couple years back :c A darling little thing, he kept thinking he was a human XD 'Named him Fox X3
My neighbours moved in shortly after he passed on, and their cats are let loose. Because they're so lazy/confused, they end up crashing at my house everyday XD; I don't feed them, but I couldn't pass the opportunity to entertain them a while. Those adorable fat buggers heart

i love cats, but my mom's allergic. So no cats for me. One day, though, i will have a cat. i want a Russian Blue, or a Ragdoll, or a random stray.
