Other than Lord Necros, of course, who is your favorite villain from movies, books, television, comic books, or video games (and any other media I may have forgotten)? Post your answers here and your reason why.

I'll go ahead and start us off, then. Um, I think its a tie between Ganon or Ganondorf and Darth Vader. They're so evil! Darth Vader slaughters little kids and entire planets, but Ganon won't die and just keeps coming back to destroy the world of Hyrule. Darth Vader definitely does more damage in a shorter period of time, but in the end he is redeemed when he saves Luke's life. Ganon, on the other hand, is evil without remorse or hesitation in every single game. He is singlemindedly seeking power at all costs, whereas Darth Vader's initial goal was to save those he loved (and ultimately destroyed O.o), and in the end he saves his enemy's life. So . . . It's kind of a toss-up. Darth Vader is much more complicated and human whereas Ganon's kind of like just a big monster or something that has no real depth.

I honestly have no idea who my favorite villian is.. there are so many of them.. Darth Vader, Voldemort, Venom,.. and so many more.. I cannot possibly describe my love for all the bad people of the world, the comic books, the movies, and the books!

Um . . . okay Sayshana, who would you say is your favorite evil human, then? That would narrow down a lot of villains.

...once again I am in awe of the inumberable amounts of evil people. There really isn't an answer to this conundrum....

Well . . . you could just pick one you like and say why . . . or you could post your top ten favorite. JUST ANSWER THE QUESTION.

I vote that the emperor guy is the evilest villain. he tricked everyone and he made darth vader out of anaken . . . kind of . . . well he made him into the robotic evil we all know and love. and he looks really creepy, like a hag . . .only not a hag since that would make him a woman which hes not. i'm going to stop now.

This is an interesting point. Usually you think about Darth Vader being the evil head of the republic, but I guess that Emperor Palpatine really was behind a lot of it. The question I have is was he all twisted before the fight with mace windu and using his evil powers to cover up his grotesqueness or was he actually normal looking and he actually got turned all funky looking?

gotta go with the classics and besides dracula has way more movies and books out than any one else but i really think lestat is better
PostPosted: Wed Jun 13, 2007 7:16 am

I don't know if you can really count lestat as a villain. i mean, in the later books, he's more like a charming rogue character who happens to fall in love with everyone and turn all your favorite characters into vampires. Hm. . . and usually he doesn't kill his meals. He was much cooler in Interview with teh Vampire back before he became all indestructible and went for a walk with satan and whatnot.

I just have to say:

HElls yES.

Okay. So moving beyond that - Dude. Dracula and Lestat aren't even evil. That's so cruel to say. And they're barely even villains, I mean - Lestat basically just wants someone to love him throughout eternity (...okay, or die with him), and Dracula is/was just doing what nature intended for him to do. Don't vilify the good vampies!! crying

I was GOING to say that Darth Vader was the best villian, because, dude. He tried to kill he own son. In the course of said attempted killing, he seriously MAIMED his own son. And it wasn't like "Whoops! My bad! Didn't know about that!" It was like "*zchwing* Waha! *zchwing-bap* Waha! Die! oh by the way I'm your dad. //*gasps* He's off-guard!// *zchwing!* ...haha, I got'chyur hand. - DIE!"

But now, actually, thinking about Anne Rice, I'd have to say the ultimate villian is Lasher, because he manipulated an entire witching family throughout CENTURIES, before finally getting one of them to give birth to his incarnation. And then manages to get yet another Taltos off of her (her being Rowan). DUDE. It's so cruel, and perfect.
