First off this isn't really that normal post for this guild but i felt the need to post it here anyways.
i really don't talk about my self to much in this guild so most of you wont get me or this poem. but if you have ever been in the military and felt the world bog you down then you understand me 100%. this was written tonight after a long day, long week, long 4 months. here is my poem, god bless.
I am a warrior but I don’t fight.
I am fighter but I don’t kill.
Airmen.
I die so others may live.
I’m dieing inside all the days of my life.
Airmen.
I’m on the ground but hearts in the sky.
I’m an man that never fly’s.
Airmen.
I fight a war not in body but in mind.
Mine is a cold war flashed hot.
Mine is a war fought not.
Airmen.
My hands are dirty and my eyes have no glint.
Like lady Macbeth, no perfumes can cover my sent.
Airmen.
I am the alpha as I go first
I am the omega as I die last.
Airmen.
So needed, but I feel so useless.
Can never walk the sand, or the land, or sail the seas.
Airmen.
I’m dieing all the days of my life.
Airmen.
The lowest on the organizational ladder.
Airmen.
My ears hurt, every day they shatter.
Airmen.
So necessary, but I feel so out of touch.
Airmen.
I just want to go home.
Airmen.
I am dieing every day of my life.

Man.

Wow; that's really deep- you are quite an amazing poet.
I'm so sorry you have to suffer so much in the military; please stay safe and I hope you can come back soon. sad

OH! *Huggles* That is a very good poem, and I think a lot of people in the service can relate, I have no clue, but I'm sure someone could. Every time I think about how young some of you are, it brings tears to my eyes to know that you would fight and even die for me and our country and our freedom, even if the wars we wage are not winnable or even if I feel war isn't necessary.
And this is true, most every person I know has their own inner wars, and people who do what you do so bravely are no exception. But you are not useless, even if you feel so. I know that means close to nothing coming from a stranger, but still.
Kudos for posting your work.
