Ok im stuck ive prayed and im not sure what the answer is...

Im turning 21 this summer im hoping i go on a mission my papers were just turned in on Wednesday and now i cant sit still!! i feel like a kid in line waiting to pee... (not a good comparison but that the first thing i thought of) i have 2 jobs both are good and both pay about the same but i need the total value of both paychecks to pay my dad back ( i owe him for my car) he says he doesnt care and to take my time but i feel obligated to pay him back!! um... let see... Money thats it! i like the amount of money but i feel like im never going to be able to pay back my dad! and i want a new job but my mom and dad say that that wouldnt be fair to the employer but i DO NOT want this 2 job crap! im sick of it ive worked 2 jobs for the past 3 years and until now ive never had a reason for it just to make more money... anyway im trying to make enough to pay back my dad but i dont like working all the time! i dont have time for my family any more or my friends... and my little brother is starting to seem more like a pest than the brother i love, and my older brother is just a big fat lazy guy but i still love him despite his invasion on my parents home... hes another story.... point is i cant handle the preasure of waiting for my mission... and i cant handle working all the time and i cant handle all the Bull crap that i feel is raining down on me! i know its satans plot to make me not go on a mission and im fighting back with all the firber ive got but its just hard...

Ok... any missionary... Returned missionary Especially girls... PLEASE help me. give me some advice and tell me what i can do to win this battle of trials!!! and please pray for me!

I'm not a RM but I will tell you that all of the families and people that I've seen that have sacrificed greatly to go on a mission have been greatly blessed. So, although it is your decision, I would say to go on a mission. Can you not wait until after your mission to pay your father back? Can you not put what money you have in a savings account, and get rid of both jobs? I know that the mission will help you with patience, so your brothers may not seem as bothersome when you return. Everything takes time. All you can do is take things one step at a time. I think right now you're just trying to do everything at once, and it's not making you feel very good at all. So, what I would suggest is, quit your jobs, go on a mission, and pay your dad back when you get home. 3nodding

Yeah... Satan works hard, he does. ... the punk.
Anywho... my suggestion is just to pray for strength in being able to overcome these feelings. Since you've had the jobs as long as you have, just keep working 'til a couple weeks before you go. Maybe drop one so you have more time with your family and to do all the prep stuff you'll need to.
And it is exciting waiting for the call. I think my roommates and family started getting annoyed at me. 'cause randomly I would just say "I could have my call next week!" or... "GUYS! GUYS!! I'm going on a mission!" or... "Guys... I get to go to the temple soon..." But that's somewhat beside the point. The point really is, it's kind of part of it to be impatient for the call. Cause while you're waiting you don't have anything to do. You've done all that work putting the papers in. and you know you'll have lots to do before you go. but for those couple of weeks... you don't know what to do and you want to know where you go. So I think that's not so bad, just part of it. And I think it'll be soooo great when you actually get your call.
Just stay close to Heavenly Father and he'll help you get through these things and get ready to go. ^-^ It'll be great.
Hope things work out. <3

Awe sweetie, I'm sorry. Life always seems to magically get harder when you're getting ready to go on a mission. Here's my advice, but keep in mind that's all it is and you still need pray and find out what's right for you. Also keep in mind that while you may not always get an answer, if you stay atuned to the spirit you will know if you're going the wrong way. Sometimes you need to take a step in the dark before you get an answer.

First off, kudos for you! I've worked two jobs twice in my life, but have never done it for longer that four months. I couldn't do it for three years. My time is too valuable to me. I suggest that you quit one job and just work one for now until you go on your mission. Spend the time you gain preparing to go on your mission. Attend seminary and institute if these are available to you. If there are sister missionaries in your area, go on splits with them often. Study the Book of Mormon and Preach My Gospel if you have it. The closer you pull to the Savior, and the more time you spend getting closer, the more peace you will find.

One thing I encourage you to do, even if you decide my advice of quiting your job is not for you, pray often. Now, I know you are probably already doing this, but pay close attention to what you are praying for. Instead of just praying to know what you should do, pray for strength and peace of mind. Pray for wisdom to make the correct decission and ask Him to take your fears so you can think clearly. Then, after you have made your decisson, pray and ask if it is right.

If you were wondering, I have gone on a mission. However, it was very short lived. I was sent home early on an honourable release because of a medical condition.

My best of wishes to you. Keep us updated on your mission call!

Everyone else has pretty much said what I was going to say. I'll add this though. Calm down. Don't go rushing into a new job. Employers do like to have you working for them a few months before you leave. You wouldn't believe how frustrating it is for employers to find good workers. If anything, you could talk to a temp agency near you, like SOS Staffing. You'll get a few extra bucks without any real long term commitment.
