League of Tactical Heroes

The League of Tactical Heroes' comm unit is a truly cutting edge device. Most prominently, it has a dual touch screen that allows it to be operated simply by a user's thumb or an included stylus. On top of that, in battle situations where less complex commands are required, it can be voice activated with incredible voice identification capability and remarkable recognition speed. It is capable both of calling another member of the League of Tactical Heroes, or sending a broadcast message to all members, but all are instructed only to use this function in case of emergency.
Each time a member is added to the roster of the League of Tactical Heroes, each comm unit owned by each member of the League automatically updates to include the contact information of the new member. The information includes the hero's public name, powers, current location (this information does not show if the unit is powered down for privacy reasons; Strategist can still access this information even if the phone is deactivated), and a button to automatically contact that member if their phone is activated.
The comm unit is capable of being used as a tracking device; Strategist from his visor, as well as the leadership when working out of Tactician's Tower, can track the location of the phone to track down one of their heroes in case of radio silence. The obvious setback to this is if the phone is separated from its user, in which case, other means will be required to track the owner down. The moment, however, the phone senses it is separated from its owner, it will begin to record with video and audio everything that occurs from that point up until another member finds it, it is interfaced with by Strategist's cyberpathy, or until the original owner comes back into possession of it. This video/audio recording is immediately streamed to Tactician's Tower, as well as being stored in the phone's unearthly large internal memory.
At the vocal command of the owner, "Tazer," the phone will emit a powerful jolt of electricity, shocking whoever is holding it, meant to be a defensive measure if the phone ends up in the wrong hands. If someone attempts to access the phone who's biorhythm and voice don't match the owner, or a senior member of the League of Tactical Heroes, the phone is programmed to self-destruct. All information that was on the phone will have already been synchronized to the data in the archives of Tactician's Tower.
The phone has an emergency medical service attachment, which causes it to teleport the owner to the infirmary at Tactician's Tower automatically if the owner is not within range of a healing hero, like Katran.
The phone's to-do list can be added to by the user, but any missions assigned to the hero by the League's leadership will automatically be placed in the to-do list under the highest priority level in an attempt to keep the hero on track.
The phone comes complete with an Internet browser, but like any phone browser, the capabilities are limited simply because the screens are so small. While it can load any page from anywhere quickly and with much detail, navigation is slightly difficult. This function is mostly used to access the League's database of information, which contains information on almost anything anyone could ever want to know. The search function can be used via handwriting recognition, or voice activation. To access this function, the user taps the question mark for the database, or the globe for Internet.
The next function is the backup function. Without even activating the biorhythm identification, a hero can send out an emergency signal requesting backup. The phone sends the message out to all active heroes without high-priority missions as well as to Tactician's Tower and Strategist's phone regardless. The phone then goes into record mode, recording all sounds, and if possible, makes a video recording as well that is both stored in the phone, and streamed directly to Tactician's Tower.
The next function is a travel request. When activated, a map appears showing the user's current location. The user then taps on the map, zooming in, until he or she inputs exactly where (s)he wants to go. The request is sent to Tactician's Tower, or if vacant, to the phones of one of the leaders, and if approved, the user is teleported there using a teleportation tunnel, called a C-5 corridor. If set to do so by Strategist, all requests can either be automatically approved or denied by the computer.
The final function is the broadcast radio/message function. The phone itself can be operated either by opening it like a regular cell phone, or the user may opt to have it constantly activated by attaching a small earpiece to their head. If the user has the wireless earpiece attached, all messages from Strategist, both to them or broadcast everywhere, is heard right away, and the user can immediately respond when appropriate. If the user is not utilizing an earpiece, the phone will flash and beep loudly. If the user sets the phone to be in tactical mode, the phone will vibrate without flashing instead.
The comm unit has two modes: normal and tactical. In a mission where a member has to be stealthy, the phone can be voice activated to remain quiet, or a button can be pressed to do so. The members must remember to activate this function or risk giving away their position.
All members are strongly advised to be careful with their phone. A loss of this device is a risk for a security breech for the League of Tactical Heroes, and the (rather expensive) device will have to be destroyed remotely before anyone is able to take any extensive steps to hack it. Once a member finds the phone missing, they are advised to find a payphone or a normal cell phone to alert headquarters immediately so the phone can be tracked and/or destroyed.
