The Great Alliance
Member countries: United States, Canada, Great Britain, France, Australia, Spain, Ireland, India
Description: The Great Alliance claims to have a better vision in sight for the world. They seek to stop the war, return peace. In doing so, the United Nations have basically split, and no decisions can be made because of the differences on all sides. The Great Alliance is seeking to restore order, but in doing so, is attempting to achieve more power for itself.

The Red Army
Member countries: China, Russia, Japan, Germany, Poland, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, North Korea, Romania, Turkistan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan
Description: After the Second World War, these countries waited for their chance to regain power. Slowly, their armies built up, and regardless of who really attacked the United States, they were soon to follow. They did not mask their intentions, saying that the U.S. was gaining too much control over the world.

Middle Eastern Coalition (MEC)
Member Countries: Iraq, Iran, Syria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia,
Description: The Holy Ones are out to stop basically everyone. They have declared their war on anyone else religious, but don? have the numbers to do so. Advances in peace between all these countries have created a slightly more stable founding for their alliance, but it isn?t strong. Disputes and squabbles still weaken them, and so they use many terrorist tactics. Bio warfare is very feared, because of a decline in the amount of illness in the world.

Escravo Rebeliao (The Slave Rebellion)
Member Countries: Portugal, Brazil, Peru, Paraguay, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Colombia
Description: These countries, although small in force, have lots of spirit. They are looking to free themselves from the poverty induced by European countries, even though Portugal remains firmly their leader. The Old Axis also has no interest for them, and so their battle must be waged on everyone to gain the power in the world that they crave.
-+Locked+-

La fin de la faim (End of the hunger)
Member Countries: Egypt, Lybia, Sudan, the Congo, Zaire, Chad, Niger, Zimbabwe, Zambia, and other small countries that have added their power
Description: The end to the battle against AIDs was rejoiced, and then someone attacked. The countries of Africa, newly cured, gaining strength, were angered into action. New technology has helped them develop methods of farming and mining. Their strength has increased, but the other powers of the world have not watched them. Now, the people of Africa pick up weapons and combine forces, ready to save themselves from the need for others. Old conflicts forgotten, their inexperience, but motivated troups will put up a fight, perhaps alongside Escravo Rebeliao.

Ground Vehicles

With very little maneuverability, these ground vehicles are used for ordinary tasks, such as transportation and armor. Occasionally, they will accompany VTs into battles, but are at high risk in these situations.

Transports:

M2031 Troop transport
Description: The troop transport is just like the old hummers, with increased mobility and armor. Its interior is made to hold troops and protect them from enemy fire, and the old problem of land mines has been corrected. Increased plating means the passengers will just get shaken up instead of having shrapnel blown up their asses.
Troop Capacity: 8

M1177 Ambulance
Description: The ambulance has beds for two people and lots of on site medical equipment. Basically everything is detachable from the interior, and it can be set up into a medic camp. It carries a driver and two others, all three medics. The armor on the exterior is strong, and this vehicle isn't made for speed.

Heavy Transport
Description: The heavy transport is a large vehicle, capable of carrying lots of troops safely to distant locations. Its armor plating slows it down quite a lot, but it also has a mounted machine laser pulse gun on top for added defense. In hatches below the passenger area, it has additional parts that allow it to be converted for different terrains.
Troop Capacity: 25

Medium Assault Vehicles

Mia assault tank
Description:The Mia Assualt Tank has it's advantages and disadvantages. With thick sloping armour, it can be hard to see, even on radar, with new anit-radar technology. Most are powered by high-intensity energy cells the same ones used in VTs. The Mia can be deadly on the battlefeild. The turret located in the mid-section can traverse quickly to target multiple enemys. Expeirenced commanders can always be a constant threat to VT pilots.
Armor: 20 inches (about 28 inches due to sloped design)
Armament: One heavy anti-VT 155 mm cannon, along with 3 machine guns.
Crew: 3 man crew, gunner, driver, and commander

Griffon
Description: A large tank with a mounted turret, this vehicle has heavy armor and is slow to move. Its alternate model has no treads, so there are two types: one for use on solid terrain, and the other for poor conditions. The latter is for unstable conditions, and as such, has only one turret while the other has two.
Armor: Varied
Armament: Two ground to air assault turrets or one ground to ground turret, and two internal side firing machine guns.
Crew: 3, driver, navigator/targetting, side gunner
Griffons

Fire support team vehicle
Description: These vehicles where designed and produced to support troops against heavy attacks. They would give close range infantry support. The vehicles could hold infantry inside of it's thick armour. But the Fire Support Vehicle was plagued with problems. First they couldn't get enough power from the Power Cells, and it was extremly sluggish (1-2 Mph), which made it a easy target for VTs, anti-tank weapons, and Mia Tanks. When a more powerful engine was in place, it would often cough and stutter due to hastyness to get it on the battlefield. The engine had to be repaired constantly and had to be keep, especially in the Pacific where hot and humid tempetures would weaken the armour.
Armor: 35 inches
Armament: one 115 mm support gun, 2 machine guns, and multiply sub-machine by the passengers.
Crew: 3 man crew: one Driver, one commander, one radio man/ Radar operator. Troop capacityL 8-10

Large Assault Vehicles

AVTs (Amature Verticle Tanks)
Decription: The form that these come in can vary, but mostly, they resemble their larger cousins. AVTs are for less skilled pilots, with less maneuverability, and unlike the larger VTs, no arms.
Height - 12 ft.
Weight- 5 tons
Max Speed - 40mph
Weaponry - Light/medium20mm gatling guns
2 racks each containing 4 to 5 anti aircraft missles, stored on the shoulders.
Relief - Solid and soft ground
AVT style 1
AVT style 2

Weaponry

(Standard military class weapons)
Boot knife, hunting knife, bayonet
M-9 Pistol
M-25 Rifle
M262 Grenade launcher
M380 Machine gun
M386 Squad assault weapon

Newly developed:

Laser pulse assault rifle
Description: This new weapon fires the same old 5.56 mm rounds, but that are surrounded by a magnetic and electric fluxuating field. This weapon is good for destoying electronics, but is also effective against soldiers.

Field pulse grenades
Description: These grenades send out an emp wave with their explosion. They take out soldiers and nearby electrical equipment. VTs are specially modded to not be affected by an emp burst on any scale.

Standard Vertical Tanks

Vertical Tanks are sold by private black market groups to the military. The Great Alliance and The Old Axis are their largest buyers. The Holy Ones try to develop their own warriors, but they don't stand up to greed. The two rebel groups obtain theirs through theft.
Vertical tanks have superior maneuverability to any ground vehicles, with lessened stability. Compared to air crafts, the don't have the speed, but their fire power and piloting make them easier to handle in battle. Vertical tanks take only superior pilots with great will power and much training. Intelligence is a factor as well. The pilots are usually young, so that their reactions are quick, and their training can only take a few years. Military groups began them younger at the ages of fourteen to sixteen in some cases. Mercenary pilots are also available from the Black Market groups that sell VTs, but are not loyal to anyone in particular.

S-11 Arm slave
Description: The Arm Slave is one of the first developed VTs, and looks somewhat like it has the upright body of a frog. It is bulky, made when stability was the most important feature in a VT. Arm Slaves are the two most common rebel VTs, less heavily guarded by the larger countries.
Height: 18 ft
Relief: Solid, flat ground
Armaments: Shoulder mounted machine gun, large laser pulse rifle
Piloting type: Normal

S-12 Arm slave
Description: The 12 arm slave has the same bulky look as the 11, but for a different reason. Once some of the stability and balance problems were corrected, the general strength of the VT was increased. Both VTs have low speed, but this one at least packs a punch.
Height: 18 ft
Relief: Solid, flat ground
Armaments: Shoulder mounted machine gun, large laser pulse rifle, increased mobility in hands and arms
Piloting type: Normal
Arm Slave Series

Black Mechs
Description: Black mechs are just that. Black. They are extremely effective on night attacks, and came along in the development after the Arm Slave series. They?re far less bulky, more maneuverable, but slightly less stable.
Height: 20.3 ft
Relief: Uneven, dry, solid terrain
Armaments: Two small shoulder mounted machine guns, wrist missile turret, large assault laser pulse rifle
Piloting type: Normal + Artificial intelligence

Shiner Mechs
Description: Shiner mechs reflect targeting systems, not because they shine, but because of an electromagnetic field. However, they emit a low hum very audible to ground troops.
Height: 16 ft
Relief: Uneven, slightly damp-hard terrain
Armaments: Two wrist missile turrets, large arm mounted machine guns (no hands)
Piloting type: Completely artificial
Shiner Mech

Stealth fighter
Description: The stealth fighter is a small, speedy VT. Its armor is thin, leaving for danger from attack, but maneuverability and stability have greatly increased from the earlier series.
Height: 19.4 feet
Relief: All terrain
Armaments: Arm mounted machine gun, wrist missile turret, on handed fighter, charges can be dropped from compartments within the feet.
Piloting type: Normal + Artificial Intelligence

Behemoths
Description: These beasts are made for large scale destruction. Their thick plating makes them slow, but its power is great. The behemoth somehow earned the nickname ?Godzilla? after its first appearance in Tokyo, Japan. The pilots are given drugs to create what is basically a berserker, while the A.I keeps the beast on target.
Height: 32 ft
Relief: All terrain
Armaments: 2 wrist missile turrets, shoulder and knee Hellfire 3 missile launchers, shoulder machine gun, two anti aircraft missile turrets mounted on the back, and a large emf emitting sword-like item.
Piloting type: Drug enhanced + Artificial Intelligence

Drug enhancement for VT pilots

There are a two different systems used in DE. The first is safer, unmonitored, but a calculated dosage given to the pilot. These are generally used on Berserkers, and wear off after approximately four hours. Any longer on the high, and the pilot suffers permanent damage. The effects of the drugs are peaks in adrenaline, loss of logical processing, blurry vision. Afterwards, a pilot will feel exhausted, and temporary memory loss makes it so that he can''t remember his actions. After much usage, the VT pilots may become unstable, logical thinking and memory damage on a more permanent scale are predicted.

The other system used is one where the VT pilot is linked to their VT, and ground crews monitor their bodies. This is far more dangerous, often causing seizure and arrhythmia in the pilot, even on the battle field. The drug enhances reaction and coordination speed in the user, but long term effects are still unknown. Many pilots begin to develop night terrors, and after a while, the drug becomes less effective after much use. The risks in and out of battle are very high, and a good VT pilot avoids either drugs.

Cybernetics and DNA alteration/cloning

Cybernetics have increased a great deal in the past twenty years, but have come nowhere near replacing the human body. Amputation is repaired more safely and simply through cybernetics- devices that are at the user's mind's control. Basically, they work just like the old limbs used to, turning the messages one's nervous system sends to the replaced limbs into proper mechanical signals. Cybernetics have not replaced the brain with a hard drive, although cybernetics can be used to aid in circulation, optics, and organ failure. The human mind, however, is far too complicated to be replicated at this stage.

The advances in DNA alteration has lead to the reduction of predicted illness, birth defects and esthetics, and has been hailed as a huge leap for medical science. Cloning is also used to replicate organs for transplant in case of accidents, however, it remains a miysterious science. The longest living human clone last for 5 minutes, dying after it was shot because it attempted to strangle a nearby scientist after its awakening. Readings shown that it would have only live a slight while longer, and that the problem lay in the brain of the creature. Cloning remains an inexact art, and human cloning is short lived.
