all flashed out. i think i'm gonna go with the ol' brush+eraser for this one.

if anyone watched that one blue planet episode, 'the deep' you'll know where the little octopus came from.

i've still got more things i would like to add but i'm feeling lazy right now. so i guess it's still relatively a WIP until i determine what exactly i want to do with it. i don't feel that it's quite there yet...

more practicing stuffs in flash. since working for gaia i've been using flash pretty extensively so i've been trying to get up to snuff with it.:

I'm really sorry i dont have TV because i really miss all the cool nature documentaries T___T

anyway, what program do you ink with? Your digital inking is very impressive and i love to look at your WIPS to see how you approach inking. I myself have a really hard time with the lines. Somehow i'd like to be able to use the brush+eraser technique and get lines that still look fluid and natural. But i found that a lot of it can depend on the tools. I have a lot more success with inking in Open Canvas than i did with photoshop. I'm curious to know what program you use?

Actually i wonder if you've ever done any digital tutorials? I'm only beginning to understand how to work things like channels, and i still have no idea what masks do.

i like to use photoshop for a lot of my work, mainly because it was the first program that my bf started teaching me with. the first one i started out with was painter but i couldn't get used to the tools and my bf couldn't really help me out on that since it's not a program he uses very often. digital linework i also just mainly use photoshop...i like using a hard round brush (that's basic with photoshop) and an eraser and have at it. i find i work best with minimal tools because i hate having to ruin my workflow by twiddling with settings.

i have also done a few tutorials. one being a pretty image intensive one i put together for another board i frequented. that one was mostly aimed at beginners and getting used to the tools and etc. i had a linework video tutorial for the gaia artist's hospital thread but i took it down (since i was just showing an example to someone). the guild that my bf and i put up we've put up a few video tutorials along with a few of the other members.

This guild is like a staff haven sometimes.

Anyway - your work has really taken on this clean, professional look over the last year or two you've been posting here. I don't really have any critiques, but I loved the Flash animation and it's always great to see you post.
