This Lake lay east of Avernus cathedral deep within a forest shadowed in Darkness, its depth could captivate any soul who dared to peer into the merky depths. In the middle of the lake was a Giant whirlpool which seemed to sink deep into the earth, Legend has it that the pool leads to an under-water chamber dedicated to an ancient god believed to be the same one the Ancients of Nosgoth once worshiped before their damnation. This lake would mean certain doom to The vampires of Nosgoth as weaklings and traitors were cast into the lake to negate their pronlonged death just to meet it in seconds or suffered an eternal pain at the bottom of the lake or worse.... A stone cliff over hung the lake where any passerby could go to the edge and look into the Lake, on Each side of the lake were ruins of two old villages whos names were lost during the new dawn of the Vampires, in these villages times they were host to Lycans at more then one time and humans at others along with Vampires any one could now make these ruins their home for all time cared....

The Overlord stood atop the cliff and gazed upon the swirling pool of water. It awoke a sleeping memory, causing him to growl. It was at a place similar to this that his father betrayed him. But the whirlpool was not a doom to Vampyres; it was forbidden for those of light. It was such a pool that turned him into what he was now. Sarkha could actually thank his father now, trading a life of purity and solitude for one in which he could see the reality that was the Universe.
And I'll never go back.
His thoughts quickly drifted to Aidryanna.... and the silver ring in his pocket. /Soon, my life will be complete./

Adryan stepped out of a swirling pool of black mist and upon seeing Sarkha, sauntered toward him. She wrapped her thin arms around his middle from behind and let out a heavy sigh. "Deep in thought?"

He was startled by her sudden appearance and turned in her embrace to wrap an arm around her shoulders. His other hand went in his pocket to spin the ring between his fingers while his eyes drifted up to the horizon.

She blushed and smiled up at him. "Don't dwell on your past, Sarkha. It's meant to stay there. What's done is done and there's nothing we can do about it."

Actually if it weren't for something that happened in my past, neither of us would be here, nor would we have known each other. I'm thankful for what happened to me over sixteen thousand years ago.
He held her tighter to himself to keep her warm, stroking her hair with his free hand.

He didn't know what to say. Aidryanna succeeded at making him feel weak yet again. She saw right through all the walls he hid behind. He let go and turned to face her full on, pulling the ring out of his pocket. It was a long while before he finally spoke.
I'm not going to kneel because it's not custom where I come from. But I wanted to show you how much I truly love you. If you're going to join me in Hell, I don't want you to be considered lower than I am... you'll be sitting on a throne along with me....... and there's only one way for that to happen.
Sarkha took her hand and shakily slipped the ring on her finger.

Her eyes went wide with shock. In truth she barely knew Sarkha, and now here he was proposing to her. "I... I don't know what to say."

He smiled and took her face in both of his hands.
Dear Princess... I don't think that there's anything to say. Just show me how you feel.
He leaned in and captured her lips in a tender kiss.

Adryan hestitated and then smoothly snaked her arms around his neck, bringing herself up on her toes to make the kiss more passionate. She now knew why he chose her so suddenly. They both knew that despite the chaos that had been conquering over everyone's lives, they needed each other.
After sharing this memorable moment, Adryan pulled back. Accepting to be with him also meant accepting that she would share his duties as an Overlord. "I understand the entire "package" that comes with being with you... and I'm willing to accept the duties that come along with it... Basically what I'm trying to say is take me, I'm yours."

Excitement filled him, not expecting her to accept him so easily. Now he was completely. Sarkha swept her off her feet and spun her around. After a moment he stopped to look into her eyes.

Hearing her name roll off those lips was a dream. He made her melt into his arms. "I love you too, Sarkrotzya." She stole the Overlord's lips as a black mist of shadow swirled about them. The shadows danced as they grew to consume them both in darkness. Soon all that remained was a large, dissolving shadow that didn't last. And then they were gone.
