Shouko sat in her usual chair, watching as Nhadala pranced around the greenhouse being Nhadala. She scribbled notes down onto her clipboard with every action her Vale took: whether it be sniffing a flower, hugging a tree (yes, Nhadala liked to hug the trees), or starring out into space dreaming about things to come.
Mid-sentence Shouko's clicky-pen ran out fo ink, which only prompted negative responses form the woman. She cursed under her breathe so the Vale wouldn't hear, "Son of a b***h." Leaning over in her chair she looked for another pen within her purse, shoving cell phone and lip gloss aside. the only thing she could find was a measly pencil, oh joy.
"NHADALA." Shouko called to the Vale, getting up from her seat and setting her clipboard in her place. "I'm going to go get a new pen! You be good, and you watch my things, alright?!"
Nhadala looked up from her current activity, which was planning things to do with her new fish, Milo. "Ok!!! I promise to look after it real well!" Sucha liar, Nhadala was. She'd soon forget about watching the bag as she would be too immersed within her thinking.
"Yeah, yeah..." Shouko muttered, taking her leave on her journey to find herself a new clicky pen.

Green house, green house, green house… Emily stared intently at the map in her hands. The woman didn’t bother to look up once from the map, turning whenever she saw that she should on the map. Of course, this meant the young woman had run into several walls from turning too soon. But by the end, she managed to make it out with only bruises and a few cuts from nicking the wall. Nothing too serious.
Now she found herself walking into a greenhouse with a great deal of triumph. She almost let out a whoop of joy, but decided against the notion, considering she was to be meeting with the man that would be her boss.
What was his name again? Eldon? Edward? No, no, no. Deadwind? No. Hm. Remembering the name given to her seemed to pose a problem, and she grimaced at the thought of not being able to simply ask for him by name. How was she going to find him now?
“Uh…Hello?” She called from her spot at the entrance. “Is anyone here?”

Shouko spotted the woman as she was about the exit the Greenhouse area. Shoving her pockets into her labcoat she responded, "Yes? Is there something you need?" She said, quirking her head to the side casually, and pushing her glasses up farther onto her nose with an index finger.
To her, this girl appeared to be lost, which was funny as the girl had a map with her. Either she had never picked up a map in her lifetime, or this girl was really, really dumb.

May squeaked and whirled to the left to see the woman. She waved the map in her hand frantically. “I’m in the green house, right? I think I followed this right. I hope.” She murmured stopping her pathetic flailing to look at the map closely again, muttering softly under her breath to herself.
After she was through talking to herself, she offered the best smile she could to the researcher before her. Her cheeks were blazing red with embarrassment. “I-I-I’m looking for Deadwind- AH! I mean—“ She stopped herself before she could further cause damage to her, thankfully, mostly unknown reputation in the labs.
“I-I’m new here. Emily Lucinda is the name.” She murmured not even offering her hand, opting instead to stare at her shoes, the ground, a nearby flower, anything but the woman in front of her. At least this time she had been placed in the generally right direction...?

"I noticed." Shouko replied stoicly. "And yes, you're in the Greenhouse. If you're not a helper you're not supposed to be in here." She brushes some hair behind her ear and thought upon what the woman had said.
"Edwin maybe?" She said, knowing she had heard the name before."Never met him." Ahh, crushing the hopes of the masses. What a good day. "Maybe if you had asked whomever it was that sent you what he looked like we wouldn't be standing here having this awkward conversation, now would we?"

“Oh!” Emily cheered “I am a helper.” She was about to reveal just how relieved she was about being in the right area when the woman before her mentioned not knowing Edwin. Yes, that was his name.
Never met him? If only she had asked? Her excitement visibly deflated in her, and her shoulders sagged. God it seemed like she had run into a real b***h. “Oh.” She whispered. “My mistake. I should have known better…” She felt as though she was a child who had just broke her moms favorite vase, and knew doom was coming soon.

"If you'll excuse me. I need to go find a pen so I can get back to work." Shouko insisted, scooting by Emily quickly. People needed to train their damn employees before they sent them on wild goose chases.
Nhadala had witnessed the encounter that had taken place between her mother and the new woman and had crept her way over there to get a better view of the stranger, ducking behind a young sapling, thinking it would be sufficient enough for hiding. Unfortunately it wasn't and you could see her and her vast amounts of pink plain as day behind it. Silly Nhadala, tricks were for kids...

Emily sighed dejectedly as the woman left. Running her fingers through her hair in a frustrated manner she turned back around to see pink. A lot of pink, mixed in the greens of a sapling.
To say Emily was baffled at the…thing’s, hiding spot was an understatement. It was about as efficient as hiding behind one’s own finger it seemed. “Um…Hello?” Emily questioned, her brows furrowing as she stared on at the pink figure.

Nhadala jumped, the sapling's leaves rustle a tad as she stumbled out from ehind the tree. "H-Hello!" She squeaked, her airy voice still sweet and innocent in sound.
She gave Emily an awkward smile, and straightened out her petal dress a little so she wouldn't come off as slovenly to the stranger. That's all Nhadala really needed, to be thought of as a bum. If it reached Seveda seh woudl never look at her the same way again...

Emily stared at the girl with fascination. It was another girl, like Mara. Honestly, she knew she should have known the moment she saw all the pink, but still the matter had slipped her mind some how.
Emily took slow deliberate steps towards the pink flowered girl and then stared at her from her toes to her head. “Hello.” She repeated with a nod of her head. Emily debated whether the girl was shy or if she had merely startled her into stuttering. “Who are you? Why were you hiding? Do you know Mara?”

Nhadala gave her a stare for a moment to think about each question carefully. The only advice Shouko ever gave her about talking to new people was to choose her words carefully. If she said something stupid, it'd reflect back on Shouko as her fault. And with any good child she never wanted her mother to be thought of badly.
"My name's Nhadala..." She said, making sure she spoke slow enough that she wouldn't stutter upon her words once more. "I was...startled by someone elses presence aside form Mother's..." She sighed quietly to herself. Good job Nhadala! Now just for the last question..."Who's Mara?" She blurted.
Stupid question numero uno.

Nhadala. It was defiantly a unique name. She smiled as the girl slowly answered each question in the order in which they were asked. She assumed the other presence the girl was talking about, was her own. Which there for meant the cold woman she had talked to just moments before was her ‘mother’ right?
“Was that girl that just left your mum?” She asked, just to be sure.
At the mention of not knowing Mara, Emily shrugged. “She’s a green girl, kinda like a zombie. I thought maybe you two would be…kinda, you know…the same.” She explained. She failed to leave out that Mara had nearly given her a heart attack when they first met, from the pigment of her skin alone.

"Mara is like me?" She questioned, quirky her head, a grin spreading upon her face. "The only other person like me that I know is Ms. Seveda..." she folded her hands behind her back and took a dainty step forward before answering her other question.
"The woman with the orange eyes? Yes...That's my Mother." She smiled. "She's so smart, she teaches me a lot of things."

“Well, I don’t know for certain...” Emily quickly attempted to mend the situation. After all, one was pink and one was green. The whole situation still seemed rather confusing, and if the girl before her only knew of one other like her- it meant these…specimen, had to be fairly rare, right?
Three then.
“Your mother does seem smart.” Emily affirmed, but mentally add and scary to herself. “She teaches you stuff? Like what kind of stuff?” She questioned with a smile. Her right arm curled around her own back grabbing her left arm in a habitual manner.
Oh, how she wanted to ask how that woman could ever possibly be this pink females mother. But the question was restrained. She would have time for questions like that at a later time. She would be sure of it.

"Mama teachers me algebra, and chemistry, and english composition. And when I'm really good she takes me to her hospital for an hour or so, and I get to watch all the surgeries that take place." She smiled, some fo the subjects in which she studied a little more morbid than the rest.
"I think I wanna be a doctor like her when I'm an adult." She beamed, child-like joy just resinating off of her like radiation off an atomic bomb. She fixed her hair a little, a petal or two falling down and landing on the ground.
