I'm totally inclined to start believing in the Ancient Greek or Roman Gods. I believe there is just too much in the world for one god to be responsible for them all. Let's delegate responsible. After all, there is a main God, Zeus or Jupiter. The problem with that system, of course, is there are so many fights between the many Gods. But you know, that would explain why there are so many fights among the mortals on Earth. I mean, if the Christians won't mind me quoting from their bible, (though it might be in other religious books as well): God made man in his image.

I have to say that most religions surprise me due to the fact that anytime they change it seems to be from polytheism to monotheism because your theory seemed to be the early idea.

Its fun to read those myths...or real stories in your opinion.

Zeus over here is cheating on his wife. His wife is striking revenge on anyone that gets close to Zeus; especially if that person is carrying his child. Artimis over here isn't dating because, well, look what happened to everyone else. 3nodding I have to agree with her on that.

Its just like real life and kinda more real. If you ignore the powers each god/goddess has, they are like regular people. Its weird.

Greek "mythology" is quite entertaining in that regard. The Norse tales aren't full of drama like that but are also a pretty good read. Especially the story of Ragnarok

Dionysus. Best. God. EVER.

Dionysus. Best. God. EVER.

Isn't that the god of wine?

As Son of Axeman said: the best God ever! LOL

Yep, God of wine. And he was a badass. He'd be strolling along the countryside, and, if a village pissed him off, he'd telepathically make them all homicidally insane.

Again: Best. God. EVER.

I've always enjoyed the myths/legends of the ancient Egyptian, Greek, Roman, Celtic and Norse deities. I believed in them in junior high and most of high school. I told someone my beliefs in seventh or eigth grade and she told everyone else; they told the teacher who taught us those myths/legends that someone in the class believed in those deities. They asked what she thought and she said, "Uh. . . well . . . I think anyone who honestly believes that all those things really happend . . . well . . . must be pretty stupid . . . I mean gullible." Needless to say, I was teased for that. She regretted saying that when she found out it was me.

Yeah, and she is believing in an all power being that is good. Same thing can be said about her.

I believe all Gods/Goddesses exist. It is all a matter of what you feel is right for you. Every religion has its own 'mythology', even Christians, stories of events that may or may not have happened, or things that didn't happen as people had written. An example would be the Exodus. The final curse of 'first borns being killed by God's hand' never actually happened, and there has been evidence to prove that point in the finding of Amunhepeshaef's corpse (The first born of Ramses II, who was the pharaoh during the exodus) and showed that the firstborn was not struck down at the hand of God as a boy, but was killed in the Sea of Reeds from a blow to the back of the head by a sword handle as an adult. So if people want to bash others for believing stories of other religions, even ancient ones, they should take a look at the validity of thier own 3nodding There's nothing wrong with believing in the ancient Gods and Goddesses of any culture. As long as They take care of you and love you, then there's really no debate. I myself follow the Egyptian Gods and Goddesses, and They have taken very good care of me biggrin

The Greek/Roman mythology is so interesting.

It's like one giant divine soap opera.

The Greeks knew how to write even if they were a little perverted. Its like a freaken porn book if you reaseach it for a project.
