Ellesmeira walked the streets of the dark city, returning to her lonesome apartment. It started to rain, but she was already prepared and was wearing her black jacket with a hood pulled over her head. When she reached her residence, she got out her keys and the dropped into a puddle. "Damn," she said, bending over to look for the missing keys.

Even as far as he was he could fell it, taste it pulsing through her veins. Brushing damp hair from his eyes he started across the street to where she searched in vain for her fallen keys. When he reached her side he placed a gentle hand on her shoulder and reached down past her to retrieve them for her, holding them out with a soft smile. "Best not lose these," he said softly, his voice a warm tenor. ~

It was unusual for a human to be so cold. But, with the weather they were having, anything was possible. "Thank you," she said, returning his smile with one of her own.

She inserted the key into the lock and twisted it ever so slightly, opening the door. She entered, motioning for him to follow. "Make yourself at home. Would you like anything to eat or drink?" she asked politely.

Are you on the menu? he asked himself, smiling softly at her offer. "No thank you, I am fine for now. Thank you very much for letting me stay," he said, looking casually around the apartment until his eyes finally rested on her. Her steel gray eyes seems to catch everything even though her hair hid part of her face. What gorgeous prey, he thought, taking a slow step forward so as not to scare her. "Do you live here alone?" ~

"Yes," she said, questioning his curiousity. She looked around the familiar room. Nothing was out of place. She bit her lower lip, realizing that it was odd having a guest in her house. She was used to being alone.

Most people got jittery in situations like this. He smiled, finding the change of pace a bit refreshing. Crossing his arms over his chest he shifted his weight to the other foot, looking doubtful. "A pretty girl like you living alone in this city?" he asked, one eyebrow arched gracefully. "I find that hard to believe." ~

She blushed a light pink across her cheeks. "Yeah. I just never found the person, I guess you could say. How about you," she paused, remembering they were never properly introduced. "Umm, what is your name, by the way? Mine's Ellesmeira, Elle for short," she said, extending her hand towards him for a handshake.

She flushed a deeper red, taken aback at how much of a gentleman he was. "I guess so," she said softly, gazing into his curious eyes.
[Gah! I have to go. Post please, though! Sorry and thanks!]
