He wasn't so sure why he felt compelled to associate with the greatest b***h in all the world. But he did. In fact he couldn't seem to get enough of her. He wanted to know what she was doing, how she was feeling...at all times. Perhaps he was going soft. But no...'the tormentor' did not go soft, he did not have rainbow and sunshine feelings. Maiming, killing, of course tormenting, belitting, and snuggling up to Re- no, no, and NO on that last part.

Oh what was wrong with him! He felt the strongest urge to run and never come back. He was prideful of course, but this was such a blow to the ego that he was at a complete and utter loss.

Briefly he comtemplated killing her.

As if on cue, the tawny colored female emerged from the surrounding flora. Her coat glimmered with patches of gold in the spackled sunlight permitted through by the leaves high above. Her hazel eyes didn't yet see Savhir, nor her nostrils catch his masculine musk. Instead, she was moving daintily along. Each paw was carefully placed in a strategic location to avoid rock and crevice.

Her mind was preoccupied with other thoughts, above all the constant nagging of her stomach. Why was it always hungry now? She had a feeling, but she was avoiding admitting the truth. She just continued to ignore it and forage almost nonstop. She stopped suddenly after making her way past Savhir's form, finally catching his scent. It was a wonder she hadn't spotted him before. Her abrupt halt was followed by a narrowing of the eyes as her head slowly turned, a soft scowl on her face. You, her brain yelled accusingly, though her lips didn't speak a syllable.

If softness were the case then surely it must be a terrible sickeness. Savhir did feel awfully ill whenever near the brutish femme. He rolled his shoulders, trying to look more masculine then great genes already permitted him. It was too early in the morning for him to be under the condition of this plague. A love strick one to boot. Wait...love? Oh he really must be diseased. How could think this was love. Perhaps a deep infactuation yes, but no, certainly not love.

"Oh I was wondering why the birds had a fright and took off....course with the sight of your maw, I'm surprised the trees didn't run suit," he said in a half attempt to dig, and the other in true jest. He eyed her carefully. "Is there a reason you're looking at me with such hatred? Well...more then usual?"

She snorted quietly at his remark, her eyes turning away and her head soon following suit. In a sense, she turned her back on him. Her tail gave an irate swish around her heels before she caught the second half of his assault. "No, you just caught me at a bad time." She said simply, her teeth clenched and grinding with the irritability she now felt heavier than ever. If there was one thing that made her hackles bristle, it was Savhir. That man-whore had taken advantage of her when she swore no man would, and she hated him for it. And what's worse, he just kept SHOWING UP. It was like he was stalking her. Her mind was harsh and cold towards him, even though subconsciously she might have been feeling softer. The hormonal levels within her were what must have been triggering it. Yep, that was it.

"A bad time, hmmm? Well, that's more then I thought it was," he said stepping closer, despite her obvious disinterest in him. "I did not know there were even 'good' days when it came to you and me. Again he stepped closer, nostrils inhaling and exhaling that sweet scent he loved so very much. Again he contemplated killing her. But, of course this would solve nothing. Would that nagging feeling in the pit of his stomach continue on long after she was gone?

He had a feeling it would.

Which meant, indeed, killing her would solve nothing. If he ran, which he also thought upon, would she follow him, or would he being soft once more and follow her.

"Something troubling you?" he finally managed. "That is to say....more then me?"

She could hear in his footsteps that he was approaching her, inch by inch. The thought of him disgusted her. She let her tail take a brisk flick upwards, aiming straight for his nose and muzzle. She took several steps away from him after this gesture. She really wanted nothing to do with anyone these days. She assumed that by letting him slip into her, she had somehow invited in a parasite that was now making her ill. Soon she'd be throwing up her innards and dying in some remote rocky corner of the globe. She turned her head just enough to watch him out of the corner of her eye. Even though she was feeling somewhat cumbersome, she knew if he pushed her much further she would have his throat in her jaws.

Then again, she figured this bitchiness was somewhat unfounded... but she didn't really care. She was going to let herself be a slave to her emotions, at least for now. There was a marker in her scent, and it was screaming that he watch his step because he was about to fall into a fatal trap. "Why is it your business?" she added, a cold icing to the cake.

"You should know by know I make anything my business," he said, sidestepping out of the way of her tail before sitting down next to her. "Therefore I am making you my business." He raised both brows at her and then looked over her form.

"Hmmmm,' he mused, eyeing her, " I don't suppose you're up for another rough and tumble are you?"

She felt her hackles prickle as he sat down. She was his business now? What, was that like belonging to him? Hell no. She let no man claim her! And yet.... Her eyes widened as she heard his last comment. Slowly, she turned to face him, as if he'd just shot her full of poison and she was petrified with a second's breath left in her. "You..." She stammered, trying to find the correct wording. She couldn't control herself. There was a warm sensation already riding down her back and to the base of her tail. Involuntarily, it began to wag slowly back and forth, lifting some. She glared at it, trying to cease it's incessant show of her obvious desire.

But why?! Why did she want him so badly suddenly? She hated him! She hated everything about him... she had been loathing him secretly and openly since their FIRST encounter in the dark of the cave. And yet she could feel herself melting. Slowly but surely, she was caving into him. She couldn't fight it. Her legs began to weaken and her stance became less and less rigid; more and more inviting. "I....." she tried again, at a loss at first. She knew it was obvious to him that she wanted him just as badly as he seemed to, even if her hormones were playing tricks with her.

The grin widened. He knew, like most male wolves of his calibur knew, that the last thing you needed was a femme to tie you don't. Not when there were so many of them in the woods, in the world. He should have drunk his fill of Rein and moved on to the next one that lifted her tail to him. Savhir had a large apetite, almost as large as, well he wouldn't go there. Despite his love of the hunt, of being hardned to the very core, he did enjoy being a gentlemen when certain instances permitted it. Around Rein it seemed like a good nature about him was endless.

And here she was, glowing yet about to open up to him. In every way the word meant. He was ready, more then ready. She was, that much he knew. But it was too easy to express his dominance and take her then and there. He much rather have a hunt on.

"Perhaps my mood is shifted," he said, lowly. "Perhaps I should move on to find another..."

Absurdity! He was completely mad. She pinned her tail down between her legs and curled it under one of them as if it might blow away in the wind if she let it swing freely. She turned to face him fully now, hackles raised and black lips beginning to curl back. A low snarl was heard gurgling in the back of her throat. "How dare you play games with me, Savhir!" She snapped, her bitchiness back in full swing, dominance nearly letting her tail spring straight in the air, if she hadn't been holding it down.

He chuckled, loudly. What would she do to him? She was half his size and twice as headstrong. In battle these were never good qualities. He was up, quickly, moving his body as his massive head shook from side to side. "Play games with you?" he asked, still very bemused. "What joy is there in love if I dont?"

She let a growl rumble through her chest, her ears pinned forward. Now she let her banner fly high. Screw trying to keep him out, this was going to be an all out war. "Love? What of lust, then? That is obviously what this is! This is why you keep following me around, spreading your seeds of rape into me!" Her hackled bristled further, her teeth glistening. Yes, she was small, but he failed to remember that she was once a very note-worthy alpha, and had won that through a fierce battle. She was smart, headstrong or not.

And Savhir reigned as well. First with his alpha father, then as alpha himself. Of course trepidations got in the way of his ruling so the pack was left to disease and war, with him the sole survivor. But all the same, battle was in his bloodlines. Yes, she was like a firelight, strong, full of courage, which meant she would last a long way in their fight. But he would still have her falling at his feet. And even if, even if he overtook her, what a jest that would be, still, he knew it would be the best fight of his life.

"You cannot rape the willing," he said, quietly. He was thinking now. The wheels turning in his like the cog of a great machine. Finally his maw opened once more, finally accepting and voicing the disease that had plagued him for some time now.

"Rein....I believe I'm in love with you."

At that one word the first time, she had bristled up bigger against him. This time, her eyes softened, and instantly her stance was dropped. Her muzzle was slack with disbelief. She thought he was lying. This must be some sort of joke. Surely, at least now, she didn't feel that way for him. He must have been bluffing... trying to win her over somehow.

"Ha, very funny." She said at last, brushing it off and starting to turn away from him. This morning had been extremely bizarre, and Savhir was not about to spare her any more weirdness. She made like she was leaving, but she was really just bracing herself for a much longer intellectual battle, much like their first encounter, only hopefully... not ending in sex. At least... part of her wanted that... the other half... well....it was crying for him.

"As much as I love getting a rise out of you," he said padding onward after her, "You should know by know when I am joking and when I am not. In this particular instance....I'm not."

He followed her completely. Either uncaring or unaware that she might attack him in this state of confusion and disbelief. He studied her closer, brow furrowed as his heart skipped around in his chest. "What do you say? Surely you MUST feel something towards me. Otherwise I doubt you would raise your tail so much...."
