Okay.. I want to explain why I brought this up. This isn't an attempt to flame the religion but I want input if I'm in the wrong or right.....
Okay.. Well I play a game other than gaia (omg!!) yes I know, shocking and it's a role playing game. You get to choose from four vocations. A knight, sorcerer, druid and paladin.
As some of you mid evil folks would know know the background on those characters. Lets focus in on the people who play the game.
Wiccan and Christian alike play this game from what I have gathered.. I... being wiccan and my other friend that plays is also too, pagan.
I used to be friends with a christian death metal head and his group of friends were christian too. But until they starting shoving their beliefs in our face, we didn't have a problem with them.. We respected their beliefs until they found out what our belief was and went around saying "BURN THE WITCHES!!". So we found aspects in their life about being christian and criticized it. No.. they weren't joking. They told us, "why believe in something that isn't true??" Personally I don't take to people flaming my religion or shoving their beliefs in my face.. We ignored them until they started to kill us on the game for the littlest reasons. We both knew it was time for a change. So now.. I bring it to you Gaians. What's YOUR opinion? Do you think if their so christian for playing a game that god himself wouldn't approve of? Does it even matter if they play or not? Another thing that would be simialar to tibia is Harry Potter. Religious nuts had a field day with that.. I exercise my right as living in America of religous freedom and I'm not going to be condemned.. yes their of a different nationally...Canadians. They claim it's just a game.. but.. if their going to be Christian wouldn't they want to treat every aspect of their life the same??

1. I KNEW IT WAS TIBIA when you listed the vocations lol. I played tibia for 4 years =P
2. It's tibia...killing people for stupid reasons happens on every server all day every day. It's called power abuse.
3. They're probably prepubescent children. If not, they're acting like one.
4. What server do you play? I have some strong friends on Rubera =P
Also: please....never...EVER use the words "tibia" and "harry potter" in the same sentence...ever...again...XD

Tibia is really a waste of time unless you're willing to put out for the premium account.

DeeplyDisturbedDamzel I have.. a year and 3 months worth. Lol, I've found OTs to be much more fun(and cheaper). I even had one going for a little bit, but it took too much time from my study of REAL magick/religion/psionics and placed it too much into making fake spells/maps/monsters for an mmorpg XD

DeeplyDisturbedDamzel So now.. I bring it to you Gaians. What's YOUR opinion? Its kind of crappy and unchristian of them,. Quote: Do you think if their so christian for playing a game that god himself wouldn't approve of? Why wouldn't God approve of a role play game? Quote: Does it even matter if they play or not? Another thing that would be simialar to tibia is Harry Potter. Religious nuts had a field day with that.. They claim it's just a game.. but.. if their going to be Christian wouldn't they want to treat every aspect of their life the same?? ..most christians aren't crazy. As a result, they have no problem with Harry Potter or other fictious games and media.

Just point out the copious contradiction in their holy book and ask them who's religion is fake?
It's a cheap tactic, but an effective one if you just want to piss them off. Otherwise, level up and stop getting pwned in that game.

Technically, that means that a very large portion of christians have problems with Harry Potter and fictitious media.

Quote: Why wouldn't God approve of a role play game? It's almost like harry potter except they actually use magic and stuff to kill fictional monsters and crap. It's kind of funny if you think about it. The guy I'm talking about has chosen his vocation as a sorcerer. But in a sense... tibia is like harry potter but theres more roleplaying on your part. [[Don't spork me plxor blkcat]]

Technically, that means that a very large portion of christians have problems with Harry Potter and fictitious media. Pope only applies to Catholics, and even then what the pope says that applies universally to Catholics would be stuff he added to religious doctrine and cerimony at an offical level. Don't get me wrong people aren't all like, "I'm gonna forget what the pope said about X," but they really don't have to listen to his reservations about Harry Potter or other fictional media. I doubt he is going to att in an 11th commandment saying something like "Thou shall refuse Harry Potter and all his witchcraft media". Though it would be funny. The pope also spoke out against "The DaVinci Code" and I don't see many people following that lead.
