Today in History we were watching a kind of old movie called Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.

I know im probably not the only one to notice this-

But It's about theese two Hippie guys who go around collecting historical figures so they dont flunk out of school.

Thier vehicle of choice: A Magical Phone booth that travels through time and space.

It wasn't a POLICE telephone booth
but it took me by surprise.

Well... do you mean episodes where they time/space travel in a phone booth or just a movie with a phone booth playing an obious part??

There was that movie 'Phone Booth' or whatever, where that guy is held hostage in a phoon booth by some sniper or something. I never watched it because it was crap, but...

Hmm, no, from memory I don't think I've seen any other time travelling phone/police boxes!

That one isn't nearly as good as Bill & Ted's Bogus Adventure (which I tend to think of as "Bill & Ted go to Hell"). That one's a lot funnier, all the way through the end credits, with the newspapers & magazine covers showing the years to come after the end of the movie.
The 7th Doctor actually does a "Bill & Ted" in Battlefield, covering his own back via time travel. This is done to a deliberately insane degree in the sequel movie.
And they melvined Death. lol

(Bill & Ted aren't hippies--they're from the 80's not the 60's. smile They'd be more like Valley Dudes.)

I saw that movie... when it first came out in theaters. God, do I feel old now. gonk

I love it when they cover their own backs via time travel.

Then they leave in the middle of the concert to get 16 months extensive guitar training.

Righteous! If they met Nine, do you think that they'd start calling things "Fantastic!" instead? I seem to remember some bit of schtick in the movie regarding someone else having some sort of catchphrase....

Anyway. Such a cute picture! But poor everyone-except-Fivey, getting sat on by Six... someone poke Tenny, make sure he's still alive! If he regenerates, who knows what might happen? And for some reason Eight looks terribly cute. I could just imagine Bill and Ted grabbing him by mistake when they're looking for people for their History project!

Yeah I watched that film "Phone Booth" - you're right - it was a bit boring - the whole two hours or whatever and the scene never changed from a phone booth....
