I'm just curious what anime or manga everyone is into and why.
Personally, my favorite right now is Fullmetal Alchemist. I think sadly it's become overly popular for the wrong reasons, but it is still an amazing anime. I love how everything in the plot is there for a reason. Even little tiny details that happen in the first episodes tie everything together at the end. It's one of those things that you don't fully get until you've watched the whole thing several times. Plus, I love the emotional aspects of it. It's one of the most emotionally gripping series' I've seen. And also, giving my love of science as well, the fact that a lot of it is based in real scientific theory (even if they take a heck of a lot of creative licensing with it) also intrigues me a lot.
Your turn to share! biggrin

One of my favorites right now is Deathnote, Hikaru no Go, and Loveless. Mostly cause the art put into it. it's simply awsome. I also like each because of the plots and the way everything unfolds. very complex yet so intriguing things. 3nodding

I don't watch anime much. In fact, I don't watch TV shows much in general. I do occasionally watch movies, and I read manga. I like Death Note and Full Metal Alchemist, both because of plot. Tsubasa is pretty good too.

Don't know about cosplay's, I don't have manga's, but I like many anime's. I'm an old anime fan generation but the new ones I like too... First, I'd mention I'm a french-speaking man, so maybe titles are differents in english. In disorder:
He-Man, Dragon Ball (not specially Z/GT), Super Sayans, Fly, Jayce, Clementine, Full Metal Alchemist, Gilgamesh, Lain, Hellsing, Chobits, Silverhawk, Galaxy Express 999, Capitaine Flam, Albator (Captain Herlock I think in english),...

In my specific case, I liked Full Metal Alchemist quite a bit, but I was a bit disappointed with how they ended the series. Yeah, the movie made up for it, but still... I think there were a few more ideas they had, but didn't use in the series.
If I understand things correctly, they ran out of money to fund the project or something like that. Pity it couldn't last a bit longer, the whole concept of Alchemy, or more specifically, the lesser known facts about the soul-energy, is quite an interesting moral dilemma. Nice inspiration for people looking for something along that vein (writers or the like).
I did like Dragonball for awhile. It was cute, and though it didn't have a major plot (well, sometimes it seemed like that), I did enjoy watching it. Sort of a palette cleanser from the more complicated and intricate anime that I'll watch with friends, and have to take time debating about the whys and the like.
Naruto is also something I watched, but lately, I've gone off it. It's decent to watch, but... the fillers are just becoming slightly irritating. True, it's better than going like Inuyasha, and deviating a mile from the manga, but still...
To be honest, I'm sort of a Miyazaki fan, so my favorites include her work.
Bah, to be honest, I liked Cat Soup, and I'm forgetting a bunch of others...
Manga wise, I lean toward Ai Yori Aoshi, some Negima!, and Because I'm the Goddess. I suspect most the people looking over this has at least heard of them, so I won't comment on 'em. But I will say that Pandora's quite amusing, from my rather twisted perspective. ^_^

I used to be big into anime, but now I'm leaning more toward manga... I packed up some of my stuff to move, and had an entire box dedicated to manga, and still had to take up half of a second one!! My favorites include Sensual Phrase (Kaikan no Ferezu), Wish, Ragnarok, and Nana. My favorite manga-ka include Ai Yazawa and CLAMP. I have almost all of the CLAMP one-shots, I'm not much of a fan of their series! And I own 3 of the 5 Parakiss manga. I need 1 and 4!! I wish I could find them... ::le sigh::
