The Caves is an interesting place. Carved out of the side of a hill it literally once was a series of caves. Now it has turned into a smallish but friendly bar/ nightclub offering various alternative events and catering to a wide variety of tastes.
The Caves is made up of three caves, each roughly the same in size. The first is acessed via a twisting wrought iron stairway and houses the bar and a few tables a well as a couple of aging arcade games. The second cave contains the dj booth and the dance floor. The third cave has more tables and chairs for those who don't wish to dance and can also be used as a stage area for live music.
Inside the walls are largely stone, they haven't been painted but there are various posters hung on them. The gloom is lifted, or at least shifted to one side, by a combination of blacklights and low power wall lights. The floor has been raised and is made of stained and oddly sticky wood. The bar offers a vast array of drinks including a number of cocktails with strange and sometimes disturbing names. The tables are all fairly low and made of dark wood.
In all the place has an air of comforting gloom.

Simon stood leaning against a wall, nodding his head slightly to the beat and rolling his orb from one hand to another. It was an oddly quiet night. Hardly anyone on the dance floor despite some quite good songs being played. Mind you it was still early, plenty of time. None of his friends seemed to be about even, and they were always there.
The orb felt oddly warm in his hand and seemed to sparkle in the dim light. He wondered what it would look like to dance with it. Like those glowing balls people sometimes brought to the Caves. Although somewhat smaller. It seemed somehow to approve of the dark smoky atmosphere and the loud stompy music.
