I am and have been dreadfully busy.
Finals are coming up, I have a few tests and quizzes to study for before then, and some projects and reading to do...
Over summer I will be, from mid-may to late june, in chemistry from 9 am until about 2 pm daily, and then I will have homework to do, as well as studying for tests/quizzes. From late june to mid/late-july I will be in class for three or so hours, daily, learning multivariable Calculus from my favorite math professor.
I will undoubtedly be busy from july to the end of August, either working or in another accelerated college course...
Then it will be the next semester!
Next semester I will be taking:
(4 credits) Applied Differential Equations: Ordinary Differential Equations (DiffEq 1),
(4 credits) Vector Analysis,
(5 credits) Principles of Physics 1 (calculus based),
(4 credits) Computer Science 1 (programming languages etc.),
as well as a course called
(1 credit) "Intro. to Engineering"
And unless I find myself particularly enamoured with my coursework towards the end of Fall Semester (2007) I will be switching my course of study from Computer Engineering, to a B.S. in Biological Sciences, and likely enter into my school's pre-medicine program...
In either case, sticking with CpE or switching to Bio, I will be literally Blitzkrieg-ing through my coursework, taking as many units as I can conceivably manage, while still having a pulse at the end of the day.
All because "I have a dream." Or, more accurately, had a dream... and have been plagued by it since. I was losing sleep over it last night... and my heart was racing earlier today... as well as making me nauseous... all because I dreamt that I had changed my major... and the sudden psychotic urge to become a doctor.
As opposed to changing majors now though, I'm going to see how I feel at the end of Fall semester... then I just might change majors, or I might stick with it.
Now matter which path I end up on, I will be very busy over the next five to six years, as I will be going to grad school either way… (or, technically, medical school).
To take a step back, though...
This semester my major worries are in doing well in Calculus II (single variable, Integrals) and doing well in Intro. to Sociology. My required seminar course will be fine, once I finish my essay, and my computer course is just about done... all most finished with our section on Microsoft Access (a database program).
I also just got back from a funeral a day or two ago... and have been trying to take things a little easy lately, even though I wasn't related and barely knew the recently deceased (I did like her a lot though... it was my wife's grandmother).
You are now aware of most of what has been bothering me, and keeping me off of gaia in general.
