Alright, so here's the deal...ever since I finished Gundam Wing about six years ago, I've had this idea for a fanfic rolling around in my head. If I may be allowed to brag a bit, I'm rather pleased with it...except for the fact that it takes me forever to get anything done! The last time I updated it was August of 05, and it's not even half done yet! gonk
I feel really bad about this, because I've gotten lots of compliments and people generally seem to love what I've done so far. My big problem is that if I don't feel "the mood", then I feel like what I've written is trash. Well, I'm going to do my best to work through that, but right now, I'd like to see if any of y'all could help get my desire to write back up...
You see, I've sort of imagined this story being bigger than just a fanfic. I think it would be nice to have some things like professional-looking character and mecha art, things like that, so it feels more like an official manga than just a story some loser kid made up in high school. So, if anyone can help with the following things, here's what would win my eternal gratitude...
-Character sketches (returning cast and new characters)
-Mecha sketches (everyone says I'm the best in the guild, but maybe someone can help me clean my stuff up)
-Misc. designs (costumes, flags/emblems, what have you)
I would greatly appreciate any help that can be given! I want to finish this darn thing before I get old and Gundam Wing is totally forgotten, and maybe with your help it can happen!

You're not the only one who's having fan fiction problems... Damn it, FFN is being a b***h and hasn't been sending out alerts of any sort. If the problem is confined to my account, I'm doomed... That and I got so damn deflated that my most recent chapter came out at only a wee bit over 800 words. Good luck with having the plot bunnies come over because they sure aren't with me... Also, you can commission artists on DeviantART for real-life currency (I recommend lurazeda. She's from Hong Kong and a professional doujinshi artist though I don't know if she takes commissions) or here on Gaia for some gold (`d o l l is a GW fan here on Gaia but she holds art auctions and the current highest bid on a SINGLE piece of art from her is 31,000 gold. She's not keen on mecha either...) I don't know... Maybe you'll find someone enthusiastic enough to do the job for free. I was lucky enough to get Chris and Sailor but my stuff is mostly mech free though... sweatdrop If you do need just a plain colorist for line art, you could PM Scweeze and hire her. I don't know how much gold she charges though...

As an artist on DA, and the organizer/co-writer/god-shoot-me-now-with-these-job-titles of Gundam Fantasy. Lemme say it ain't cheep to get people do draw anything. Especially if your laying down the cold hard cash.
To get 6 pages of Gundam Fantasy illustrated we've shelled out $150 for toned b/w drawings. Yes not cheep at all.

I have a hayday drawing characters out. If you'd like, I could do a few sketches, and possibly color them in photoshop if time would allow me. I've been boggled down with finals coming up (and with working on my own drawing and fanfiction for the contest sweatdrop ). I'd need some in depth descriptions on character designs before I'd start if you wanted to get into specifics. Otherwise, I'll go ahead and read your fics and sketch out whatever comes to mind.
We'll see if I can get around to it. I don't want to make any promises, but it sounds like this could be really interesting. This guild means a lot to me too, so I'd like to do what I can for you guys. 3nodding

If you want a beta reader to help with anything then PM me and I'll give you my email so that you can send it to me. Personally I keep all the Gundam fics I've written just for me because I don't think many people would like the pairings I do lol......and the fact that there's lots of bashing.....

Well, I just got hit with ANOTHER setback inasmuch as my laptop's power adapter just died, so until I get another one, I won't have access to my fanfics and other projects... ;-;

I have a few sketches laying around if you want me to scan them and show you... The one I've got scanned so far is this: Duo: ReflectionsI have colored headshots of all five of them, but it's not scanned. I do better on paper generally than I do on the computer.
