I made this great sketch, but i'm afraid to do anything more with it because I know I won't be able to make it look right. Particularly the arms. I have no idea how to draw a decent arm/hand. They are too twisty and complex. But I sure love drawing legs.

Hey there, it looks like a good start! 3nodding
As for hands, you can break them down into sections like you did for the arms and legs. (A round ball for the hand, each finger = 3 balls and 3 sections, etc.)
When I was in art school, we spent weeks just drawing our own hands and feet @_@
Practice makes perfect, I guess!
If you want, you can print out lightened copies of your sketch and draw over top of it again and again.
