Well, I am doing a web comic!!
But, I have some problems.
I don't have a beginning.
I can't get the world in which the main characters will 'fit.'
First, the beginning.
The webcomic is about Akira Amaterasu, a girl who is abducted by aliens. (si-fi) She is teleported aboard the aliens ship, and accidentally has her genes combined with that of a cat (thus she is a cat-girl, complete with eyes, ears, tail and sharp claws.) She is taken to the alien's home world, where she is adopted... as a pet! She's adopted by the prince of the alien's home world, Anubis Sanjaya, who names her Sterling. Eventually, he gives her the affectionate nickname Stella. (both means star, by the way). But, Akira (meaning 'bright, intelligent' in Japanese) is not named that way for nothing. After a few months, she begins to pick up the language. After learning the language to the point where she can read and speak it fluently, (keeping it a secret of course, even from her master) She manages to escape back to Earth.
Now, I have three possible beginnings.
We have Anubis running to the scientists lab, saying he wants to get a pet for the equivalent of his 16th birthday.
When Akira is abducted.
After Akira has escaped back to Earth, and her ears and tail had been found, a reporter persuades Akira to tell the reporter her story...

I think you should start from when she gets abducted. Oh and it sounds really cool! Can't wait to read the first one!

i like it already!
i would start with her innocently walking along and then getting randomly abducted.
you could have some prefiguring, have her thinking about people who will later figure into the plot like teachers, b.f, family, from whom she might have to hide her cat-ness?
and what if Anubis' family felt it was a breach of naitonal security for the heroine to escape so they try to send a troop of rangers after her to either (a) bring her back for study or (b) eradicate her before she can tell her story?

Actually, I'm making it so after Akira makes it back to her planet, Anubis comes to get her personally. You see, he thinks she's just a really smart animal, like a... parrot. It really confuses him when she suddenly snatches the ship, one that is super fast and hard to catch, and runs off. I also have her living in Washington when she is abducted, and she lands in Japan.

Why is Anubis's last name Sanjaya?

It means royal in... Indian? Has to do something with Hinduism.

Okami Ameras chessiejo i like this online cartoon, in which the family Border Collie gets mutated into a school guidance counselor! http://www.kingfeatures.com/features/comics/safehavn/charactMaina.htm it's only partly ransom it's almost half relevant. anyway it's a furryperson story and an excellent author. have you ever followed Kevin and Kell? That's his main anthropomorphic strip. so it's a topic that interests me, and if you or anybody else wants to talk about it that's fine, and if not, that's fine too.
