I'm gonna post a little story I wrote for creative writing.
The gravel made a thin, grey cloud of dust as Samantha dragged her feet across the alley. A single street light post stuck right in the middle lit up only half of the gravel path. For Samantha, this was just enough light for her to read her book, 'Gypsies, Tramps, and Thieves'.
Samantha turned the page to a new chapter titled, 'Suffering'. She glanced around and shuddered. She drew in a deep breath.
"If all else fails, my book can be used as a weapon." Samantha said. She shut her book gently and tucked it into her over stuffed hand bag. It was filled with books, pens, notebooks, pencils, more pens, everything she needed for a book signing, that and her MP3 player in which the battery was dead.
She dashed across the street into another alley and glanced around again then fixed her bag strap to fit more snugly on her shoulder. She jogged until she reached the alley light and noticed it was slightly flickering. She paused there to catch her breath.
A rustled sound came from the way she jogged from; she perked up her head and felt her heart beat faster and faster. Now the sound was as if it was footsteps and they were getting louder.
Samantha stood there panicking, her legs refused to move, she couldn't even scream for help. The footsteps sounded like they were getting closer and moving faster.
"Move, move, move, MOVE!" she yelled and her legs instantly started running in the opposite direction then the footsteps.
Everything blurred by and before she knew it she was lost. She stopped in another alley that was only a few streets down and paused for her breath again as the sound of crickets started calming her down.
A dog barked in the distance, possibly a few yards away, and the footsteps returned. Samantha's heart pounded in her chest and the alley started spinning in all different directions. Her body trembled and she fell to her knees and started to slowly backing away, she felt the cold, wet grass under her numb hands. Her back hit a door making a loud thud. She frantically tried to open it. No luck, it was locked. She felt sick and her legs and face were now getting numb, she tried to swallow but that didn't help. She tried to get her body to move but her joints were too locked up. Samantha tried to use the door as a support, but her legs collapsed right underneath her as if they were wet noodles. Trembling, she curled up into the beetle position and decided to await her death like that.

Sooo, Cliffhanger! My creative teacher wanted a cliffhanger and he got one. So basically, I don't know how I'm going to end it, I think I might use it as my final project for Creative Writing, but I'm not sure how to end it.
