Ok, so in the desperate attempt to motivate myself to draw I've come up with this maroon haired, tanned, elfy desert dude named Fyre. I don't have much of a background for him yet, still working on that part, got ideas, nothing solid, but hey-its getting me to draw so whatever. Important note, nothing in this piece is 100% finished, though if its on or around the face its probably closer to completion than his arm or tummy. But don't let that stop you from commenting on wrong stuffs!



The main hugely important feedback I want at the moment is:

If there is emotion in this piece, what is it that you're sensing/feeling?


But thats not all, I'm still open for regular critiques, tell me what you like and what you don't like. I have done a few things differently with this painting, so if certain things are working I need to note them so I can continue to do them.

The only thing that I find strange is that the elf's expression looks hungry-not romantic. I think it may be his eye and his smile? But you know what, after I looked at it again for the second time I think it is the placement of his eyebrows and how wide his eyes are. In my opinion eye think the eyebrows should be lower and the eyes a little more closed. But that's just my opinion. The girl looks great, and the coloring- fantastic.
